He prepares for the day...
He uses other people's blood as mouthwash and he stitches himself after he got stabbed or wounded.
He left the blood on his clothes just to remind him of his killing history.
He goes inside a random persons house and loots there food storage and checks and looks for them and kills them till there's no breath left.
