The next night, I brought a flashlight, pocket knife, rope, and meat chunks. I laid down the rope in a pattern so it was a net. I then placed a trail of the meat. Then it hit me. ~Wolves are hunters...~ I thought. Darn! I saw a bird, lying on the ground, not moving. A streak of fresh blood was smeared along it's back. I remembered I'd stuffed string in my pocket in my rush to pack. I twirled it around until it was like a web, and I scooted it under the poor bird. I raised my hand, and the bird mimicked those of a bird. Then, there was a rustled deep in the woods. I scanned the area and spotted a stick. I climbed up a tree at lightning speed as the creature came. Holding the stick out in front of me, I made the bird move up and down. The animal pounced, and it fell short of the bird, landing in my trap. The net Rose a few feet, and the wolf had been captured.
