"Proverbs 1:7 - The fear of the LORD [is] the beginning of knowledge: [but] fools despise wisdom and instruction."

What's does the word fear mean? (n) an unpleasant emotion caused by the belief that someone or something is dangerous, likely to cause pain or a threat. (v) be afraid of (someone or something) as likely to be dangerous painful, or threatening. This just happens to be what we think of when fear comes to mind, we tend to look at it from the natural perspective. But ask yourself the question. Are you scared of God? Think about it. Naturally when you are scared of something or someone you tend to stay away from them or it. So if you answered yes, then why do you always find yourself running back to Him? The answer is simple you're not scared of Him you are just scared of living without Him. That's where the word fear comes into play. As Christians especially young Christians it should be your biggest fear to live without God. Living without God is one of the scariest things that you could do in life.

To fear God is not to actually fear Him to the point that you don't want a part of Him, but to fear having a life without Him. To want more of Him, to go deeper in His word. Wanting to have a stronger relationship with Him.
Just take a moment to think about your life because you have a relationship with God. Okay, now think about how your life would go without God. It's seems horrible right? That's the type of fear we should have of God.

Now that you understand what it means to fear the Lord or to fear God what will you do? Will you continue to slack or will you build a stronger relationship with God? It's officially up to you.

"Isaiah 41:10 - Fear thou not; for I [am] with thee: be not dismayed; for I [am] thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness."
