Happiness only lasts for only a little while.
It always comes and goes.
Never to be held onto.
Once you're happy,
Something always interferes.
They say nothing lasts forever.
For which this is true.
So why don't we listen to all of the forewarnings?
Love fades,
The spark in your eyes and heart,
dies.
The smile and laughter,
quiets.
Darkness eventually clouds over us.
So why didn't we listen?
Nothing ever lasts.
Eventually, we just become...
Mindless zombies.
Ignoring the alternatives.
And minding the darkness.
Darkness lasts forever.
