I was in English class and was reading a chapter of a book i need to read. The bell rang and everyone rushed out the door. Lunch time! I hold Tomika back and let everyone leave the classroom. "What ya need Summer"she says. "Uh i want to ask you something"i say fiddling with my fingers. I do that when i'm nervous its a habit of myn. "Okay sure what is it"she says confused. "Well uh do you like Zach" i say straight up. I see her eyes widen and her eyebrows go up. "Whattttt"she says shyly. So she does like him i mean her eyebrows go up and i found out when she does that it means she's lying. "Your eyebrows are up Tomix"i grin. She looks down at her feet and sighs. "Okay i'll tell you but you can't tell him"she demands. I nod my head and cross my heart. "Okay well i do like Zach but he dosen't like me"she frowns. Awww wait ZAMIKA MIGHT HAPPEN!!!!!!! "Oh well i think he likes you i mean he always tries to talk to you"i say reassuring her. She smiles. "Well enough of this come on the girls are waiting for us"she says and motions me to walk with her. I nod my head and we both walk to the cafeteria.

I see Faith,Jenna, and Haley there were talking. Me and Tomika sit down and eat our food. "So did you guys go to the party"Faith says excitedly. "Yea"i stutter but nobody notices. "It was awesome"Tomika adds. The girls talk about the party while i think. I think about the guy and what he said. I think about who wants to hurt or maybe even kill me. But that reminds me, my locket. No nobody can know this we kept it a secret and hide all the ... nevermind. "Summer"someone says. I look up and see Haley trying to get my attention. "Huh"i say confused. "I said that someone is looking at you" Haley says pointing behind me. I turn around and see some boy staring at me. He had black hair and dark brown eyes. He wasn't cute but he wasn't ugly. I gave him a smile and he smiled back. I turned around and see my friends with their mouths open. "What"i question. "Do you know who that is"Faith says almost screaming. "Uh no"i shrug. "THAT'S ASHER DANIELS"Faith practically yelled. "Could you be quiet people are starting to stare"Jenna says trying to not look at the people staring. "Those kids should find themselves some manners"Tomika says shooing the people who were staring. "So who's this Asher Daniels"i ask them. "Well he's one of the most popular guys in this school"Haley responds. "one of?"i ask. "Yep along with Zach,Lawrence, and the most popular Freddy"Faith says. Freddy? i mean he is cute and handsome and has the most amazing hair wait snap out of it Summer. Wait Zach i need to tell him. "Oh speaking of Zach i'll be right back"i say and walk to the "popular table" notice the quotation marks.

I walk up to Zach and tap his shoulder. He turns around and smiles. "Hey Summer what's up"he says. I feel a pair of eyes staring at me and those pair of eyes are Freddy's. "Well uh i have the answer to your question"i say winking at him that i'm talking about Tomika. "Ohh right uh lets um go over there"he says and he leads me outside the cafeteria. "So what did she say"he says impatient. "Chill dude she said yes"i roll my eyes. He didn't say anything or a second until he screamed. It was so loud that i think that the whole world heard it. He jumps up and down and does a little dance. I roll my eyes and enter the cafeteria again. Zach chases after me and gives me a quick hug. "Thanks"he says and walks off. Everyone looks at me but i ignore them. I walk back to my friends and sit down. I see Tomika frown. Oh no. "It'snotwhatitlookslikeihelpedhimwithsomethingandhegotoverexcitedandthankedme"i say super fast. Oh and i can sorta speed talk when i'm worried. "What"Tomika says confused. "Okay i said that it's not what it looks like i helped him with something and he got over excited and he thanked me by hugging me."i say slowly. "I believe you but promise me nothing is going on between you too"she says worried. "I promise"i smile. The bell rang and everyone left the cafeteria i quickly told Haley that i'll see her in Music class.

The rest of the day went by quickly. Soon i was walking home and then rain started to fall. I absolutely love the rain. I love the feeling when the water drops land on my cheeks and it falls on the floor, its the best feeling. I put my hoodie on and walk through the ran.It started to rain even harder and i could hear the water falling. Soon i didn't feel water drops on my face anymore. I look up to see a black figure. I turn around and see green eyes boy. He was smiling. "What are you doing"i ask him. "What i'm trying to be a gentleman and not get you wet"he chuckles. "Uh okay but i'm quite fine being in the rain i don't mind it i actually like it"i smile. "What"he says confused. I roll my eyes and keep walking. He grabs my wrist and turns me around. My face in now facing him only a few inches away. "May i have this dance"he smirks. "Uh sure"i respond. I wrap my arms around his neck and he put his arms around my waist. We moved side to side and we kept staring at eachother. We were dancing in the rain. I felt something spark inside me. I don't know how to explain it but it made me have butterflies. We finally stopped and we were both smiling like idiots. "Your a good dancer"i giggle. He laughs along. "Thanks your not bad yourself"he says back. I roll my eyes and laugh. "well i gotta go i have homework to do see ya"i wave goodbye. I hear him run too me and he hands me his umbrella and runs off. That boy he can be a lot of things but he sure is sweet.
