The Beginning of Summer

It was the first day of Summer and Maple was beyond excited at the prospect of hanging out with all of her leaf friends. There was Palm, Juniper, and Peach. They had decided to go to the main park for leaves "Maple Park." Tomorrow they were going to "Palm Beach."
Maple could not believe their luck, the weather was perfect! In fact it was unbeleafable. (Lol i had to)
Maple and her friends had agreed to meet at the park at 10, it was already 9:58 and Palm was no where to be seen. Suddenly Maple saw Palm walking towards them, it seems she had ran into some other friends: Spruce, Fir, Pine, and someone else.
Maple turned to Juniper and Peach.
"Do y'all recognize the other leaf? Is he new?"
Peach glanced up, "do you mean the one next to Pine?"
Maple nodded. Slightly giggling at Peach, everyone knew she liked Pine except him, of course.
(P) "No I don't. Do you Juniper?"
"Nope, he looks cool though."
Maple and Peach rolled their eyes, Juniper thought everyone looked cool.

Oak woke up that morning happy which was unusual. He was happy because he was heading to the park with his friends Spruce, Pine, and Fir.
Oak could not believe his luck, the weather was terrible! Ugh how could the sun be so obnoxiously bright!?
Oak and his friends had met at 9:45 and had been walking and talking when they ran into Palm who was really close to Fir. They continued walking when they saw some of her friends Peach, Juniper, and another girl.
Oak turned to Pine who had a huge crush on Peach. "Hey do you know who that is?" Oak asked pointing to the unidentified female.
"Yeah thats Maple, we met her during Spring when you were busy hiding in your home, shes unbeleafably nice."
"Haha so funny."
"You know I'm right"
Oak frowned he knew Pine was right but it didn't really matter because Maple looked too happy to be someone he would socialize with anyway.

The two groups of friends approached each other. Maple was overjoyed to see Palm and immediately greeted her with a giant hug.
Oak rolled his eyes at their exchange, "its not like they havent been hanging out" he whispered to Pine. Pine just shook his head at Oak, he knew Oak had a point, but that was simply how Maple is.
Maple then turned to Oak and Pine and stuck out her hand, "HI, I'M MAPLE!!! WHAT'S YOUR NAME?!??! I BET WE'LL BE GREAT FRIENDS! HOW LONG HAVE YOU KNOWN PINE!" she exclaimed with unbeleafable enthusiasm.
Oak just frowned.
"Don't mind him, Oak is just not one for being happy, and meeting new leaves is not on his list of favorite things," Pine explained.
"Well that's okay, I'm sure we'll still be great friends!" Maple said smiling.

The group of six continued walking around. Oak was still being a grouch and Maple was trying to get him to open up and be happy. Unfortunately it was not working. Pine and Peach were flirting and being cutesy, which of course made Maple fangirl.
Maple turned to Oak "Aren't they just the cutest" She quietly exclaimed.
Oak looked over at the two "eh, I wish Pine would just ask her out so Spruce and I wouldn't have to listen to him going on and on about her"
Maple squealed "HE TALKS ABOUT HER?!??!? AHHHHH THATS SO CUTEEEEE!"
"Do you ever talk quietly or better yet not talk?" Oak asked with annoyance
"Why would I?!?"
Oak sighed and took out his IPhone to listen to some music.
"OOO what are you listening to?!?"
Oak glanced at her and put his earbuds in.
Maple frowned. How rude. she thought

Oak was silent the rest of the day only occasionally talking to Spruce and Fir, he would've spoken to Pine but Pine was distracted.
Maple on the other hand talked to everyone but Oak, she didn't like how negative he was and it would bring her down. She continued to fangirl about Pine and Peach. She also was low key shipping Spruce and Palm. Overall it was a good day for Maple.
Pine was having a fantastic time talking to Peach, and debating whether or not he should ask her out.
Peach was hoping Pine would ask her out.
Spruce was enjoying talking to Palm.
Palm was also enjoying talking to Spruce and was low key shipping Maple and Oak.
Juniper was wondering if she had feelings for Fir
Fir was enjoying hanging out with everyone.
