Louis's P.O.V
I look beside me where I see my baby Hazzy bear, peacefully resting. He seems to be resting an awful lot lately. We didn't have answers about his health yet, but I knew something wasn't right. Especially after the doctor was talking about his condition...and how it wasn't the greatest. I stood up now, about to walk out of the room, when I heard Harry mumble something incoherent.
"Haz... babe... what was that?"
I walk closer and see him look at me, he doesn't say anything, he just gives a shy smile.
"You thirsty?" I question pointing behind me. He nods and sighs softly, before I know it, he is closing his eyes again.
I walk out of the room just in time to run into the doctor and a man with a clipboard, I'm guessing it's a nurse.
"Mr. Tomlinson we are here to talk about Harry's case."
I nod slowly, and look in the room where Harry is snoozing softly.
"He...he....is going to get better....r-right?"
I feel tears pool my eyelids, and I try so hard not to cry. The doctor looks towards the nurse who just sighs in response.
"This isn't a life of death situation... but...."
The tears that were flooding my eyelids are now streaming down my face.
"Harry...well...he is going to be permanently blind."
I felt all of my breath hitch in the back of my throat. How was this? Harry? Blind? Now? He's only twenty two.
"You... made a mistake... this HAS to be a mistake!"
The nurse shakes his head and puts his arm around my neck.
"We are very sorry to deliver this new to you."
He wasn't sorry. How was he sorry? He doesn't even look sorry!
"Can you... please... just leave me alone?"
They both nod and walk in the opposite direction.
I feel myself sink to the floor, sobbing my eyes out, how can I possibly take care of Harry, I don't know the first thing about being blind.
"Lou?!"
I'm suddenly interrupted by Harry calling my name. It takes all the strength I have to stand up, by that time, my eyes are stinging and my cheeks are swollen and sore. I have to tell Harry, and worst of all I know it will completely break him.I walk in now, grabbing a few tissues before heading over to his bed. He is staring out in space, almost like his vision is fading.
"Lou..." He calls softly, barely audible actually. I sigh in response as I walk closer. He doesn't say anything, but I know he is saddened.
"L-Lou....I-I can't see...a-at all.
My heart drops to my stomach as I hear him say those words. I walk over and sit next to him. I wrap my arms around him and cuddle him close.
"We can only hope for the best love."
I caress his cheek which is now soaked in tears. He is quiet now, I know he is afraid to say what's on his mind, I need to respect that.
I stand up now, going to sit in the chair, in the far corner of the room. Before I'm half way there I hear Harry mumble something incoherent.
"What was that, love?" I say as I walk over to Harry , he has a simple smile on his face.
"I love you, Lou." He giggles and stretches his arms out. A clear indication that he wants to cuddle.
"Hazzy...I-I love you too." I sigh while sitting down now. "You don't deserve this... you know?"
He nods and lays his head against my chest.
"Don't worry Haz, we can make this work." I chuckle hoping to enlighten the mood. "Yeah, we'll definitely make this work."
