Jakes and I talked between bites of food about the wedding date, who we would invite, and our idea of moving out of his parents house. Both having many of the same ideas.
The wedding date: October 4th but in a few years. Hopefully giving us some time to pull some money together. I'm sure Monica and John would help lend a few until we could get everything settled and together.
Moving out was an idea that we wanted to do before the wedding. Since I loved the water and Jake hated the snow, we thought about moving out of state to a much warmer climate. We lived in a country named Watland. It had a total amount of twenty states. If I had a choice to move to any warmer state, I'd pick Blue Sky. It was located under Florida but not part of North America or South America. We were right in between.
The only problem for me was trying to put The wedding and the moving out of state, together. I'm assuming Jason family and our closest friends would want to come to the wedding. If it was out of state, or possibility of having those people come was slim.
The same night of the proposal, Jake asked me a question that he's right to ask me forever. He said, "back in second grade, what was it that you'd draw or writing? Several diaries and notebooks on you."
There was no confusion on my part, I knew exactly what he was talking about. "Doodling was a hobby of mine. I would mainly draw a feature that was for random made-up character. Sometimes I would draw characters and pretend that they were me." Jake and I were in the car heading home when he asked but I believe my "doodle book" from second grade was in the closet. My favorite of them all!
"The books that you were talking about, I drew a few pictures of the two of us in them. I had a big Fairytale dream of living in a castle, the two of us, as just friends. I found a true best friend in you from the day we met." Then I paused to think of another sentence.
"Go on please. What happened with the castle? Describe, please!" Jake seemed fairly interested in the castle stuff. He continued asking questions before I could even say one word, "was there any cool action involved? Wait. A. Minute. Did I own a diamond sword and rescue the princess!?"
Add a normal tone I said "wait, hold on." That was not working well on my part because he kept talking. Jokingly I shouted, "HOLD ON SPEEDY! Slow down for a minute and let me explain. The pictures when I was seven we're very simple. This was before I began to fall in love with my best friend. We would play video games together at your house. The action and then didn't take part until the beginning of fifth grade.
"In fifth grade, I started trying to print store. The princess was locked in a tower with the dragon. You, being the prince, would rescue me- the princess- with his gold sword. If you would save me, go to the beach and eat dip n' dots in the sun." Thinking of it now, everything sounded silly.
After we walked in the house and announced that I said yes, Jake and I went to his room to talk more. He surprised me when he pulled out a drawing of me. The date was written on the top with my first and last name. I had to stare at my name realizing it would change soon. Maybe Jake will draw a new Ella, Ella Robins.
