Dear Barry,

Me and my dad and I were out in the backyard watering plants. My dad always as a kid loved to garden. He is like a garden keeper by now because he is so skillful and highly careful on how I plant my own plants. Little did we know that the swamp was in the back too. I was paranoid that I will see the dark shadow peering behind a tree stocking me and my dad. I didn't even look over to the swamp, that's how paranoid I am. What really bothered me was what the person was doing in the swamp anyway. I don't even know, this is the first time I actually saw a swamp in real life.

Was the dark figure even a human at all? I watered the plants and the grass with peacefulness inside me, trying to forget about the other day. My dad looked at me with a smile on his face as hec planted his plants. He stood up and took his garden golves off and held both of them. He put his hands on his hips as he was tired and ready to eat lunch.

"You're really good at this whole planting gardening thing" my dad said to me as he grabbed the rack the was resting on the back door.

"I never said I was good"I said as I watered a baby plant. I remember my dad told me to be very delicate with a baby plant. If to much water runs over the plant, it might be too wet for it to grow. It's like the water is crushing the plant.

I look up to my dad with a smile. I wanted to tell him what I saw the other day but I won't know if he will believe me. I tell stories a lot to my mom and my dad, most of them are true and most of them are fales but really I want to scare them. "Dad" I said to him.

'Yes,Barry" he said my name.

I turned to him and sat the waterhose on the grass. 'I don't know if you won't believe me but' I hesitated. "The other day,  I saw a man looking up at me from the swamp" I said. "I couldn't see his face because of the fog" my dad looked at me.

"Are you sure, Barry?" Said my dad as he stabed the rake into the grass making it stand up.

"I'm sure, I saw him looking up to me in the front lawn" I told him. "I don't even know if it's a man or not" I said to him.

"Oh" dad said. "I'll check on the swamp, don't worry" my dad said to me.

"You're really not that worried?" I ask my dad. He looked at me with a half smile.

"Sometimes, you can't show fear. It's like your the prey and someone's the predictor. You can't always be scared of the predictor for the rest of your lifetime or you'll live your life full of fear. You have to over come that fear someway or another way but you can't be scared" my dad told me.

"I don't get it" I told him.

"You will" he said to me.

"Ugh, stupid moss grown into the ground. I'll be back, I'm going to get the fertilizer" dad said to me.

"Okay, I'll be out here" I said as my dad went into the house.

I sigh and pick up the the waterhose and watered the rest of the plants that was lined up for me. It's been a while sense my dad left to get the fertilizer but I guess he is having trouble finding it because of this ridiculously large house. Everything was going well until you can hear thumps of water coming towards you from the swamp. I turned to the swamp with wide eyes. The thumps of water are getting loud as they come closer to me until they stopped. It was so quiet that you could hear the birds chipping away. I didn't know what to do.

I guess I was right about someone watching me and my dad. But who was it? I asked myself.  I try to steady my breathing. Something is wrong with being to quite. Why is it quite? I asked myself. I stand still looking at the swamp. I didn't move an inch. I was terrorfyed what I might see. "Who's there?" I say to the swamp.

No respond.

"Please, answer me" I say quietly.

No respond.

"I saw you, looking at me from the swamp. If it's you, what do you want from me?" I could feel my voice begin to shake.

A head came out from the swamp water. Slowly the head could be seen by it's eyes and then the whole face. It was the dark figure that was outside in the swamp but this time it did not have red on it's lips, what's going on? The figure stared at me with a sinister smile. A few minutes later it was laughing.

"Your in danger" the figure kept repeating. "Your in danger" the figure said again. "YOUR IN DANGER!" The figure yelled with a sinister voice.

The figure's hand came out of the water and grabbed me by the leg. I could feel the sharp nails stab me in my leg, the figure pulled me on to the ground and then pulled me into the swamp water.
