"Wait...you actually want to go out with me? This isn't a prank? I hope this isn't a prank." He half-shouted.
"Oo, the outcast asked the ex-popular out." A voice said behind me.
I stood up and turned around. "Repeat that, I dare you." I whispered.
"The outcast asked the ex-popular out." He smirked. Yes, he. It was Davin that spoke.
He was the only popular left behind us, the rest were watching at a distance. He stepped forward and slapped me. I bit my tongue trying to control myself. The next thing I see is Cole punching him in the face. I pried Cole off of Davin within a minute.
I looked into Cole's eyes and they instantly softened. I wrapped my arms around his waist and leaned into his chest.
"You didn't have to do that you know." I looked up into his eyes.
"Yes I did. He fucking hit you, Leisa."
"And I'm trying my hardest not to kiss you in front of the entire school." I mumbled into his chest.
He looked down at me with wide eyes.
"Oh...you heard that?" I asked innocently.
"What? I'm not a fan of PDA." I said after.
"The fact that you even said that shocks me."
I giggled a bit."But I'll remember you said that." He smirked.
I probably flushed pink, I don't know.
"You wanna ditch this place? The supervisors would probably let us because of the Davin situation." I said looking back at Davin who was sitting there as the principal arrived.
"Sure." Cole said.
We let go of each other as we walked towards the doors. The office ladies gave me a look of sympathy as I walked out the doors.
"What do you want to do?" I asked. He looked at me and smiled.
"Let's go to the fair." He suggested.
"I love the fair!" I squealed.
We raced all the way to the fairgrounds. We decided we'd go on the Tilt-A-Whirl first.
I texted my dad after the ride and told him I was at the fair with Cole and that I won't be home until later.
It was 8:00 P.M. and the sun was starting to set. We decided we'd go on the Ferris Wheel to end our night. I knew what Cole was planning; I'm not stupid.
We both got on and waited for the ride to start. I could tell Cole was nervous.
I looked straight into his eyes. I smiled and grabbed the back of his neck before I leaned in. You know how they describe kisses in books and movies? Yeah, this was the equivalent.
"Best night ever." He said after we'd pulled away for air. I giggled silently. I rest my head on his shoulder and sighed. "I agree, Cole."
"Wanna go to the beach after this?" Cole suggested.
"Hell yes!" I screeched. A mother from the cart in front of us turned around and gave me a dirty look. I put both my hands up and she turned back around.
It's a Friday so I can stay out as late as I want.
"I need to go home first." I sighed. "I do too." He stated.
We got off the ride and we started the walk home.
Halfway home I draped Cole's arm over me and snuggled into him. "I'm tired." I whined.
"Piggyback?" He asked. I giggled but hopped on his back anyways.
I kissed the back of his head as we started walking again. I felt the shiver go down his spine and I smiled.
He put me down when we reached my porch. "Thanks." I smiled.
"I'll meet you out front in five minutes, okay?" I asked. He nodded his head and walked onto his own porch.
I walked inside and ran to my dad's office. "Cole and I are going to the beach, be back in an hour." I said.
"Have fun, sweetie." He said back.
I ran upstairs and put on my floral bikini. I threw on a loose t-shirt and jeans. I walked up to the figure in my lawn and tapped his shoulder. Cole turned around and smiled.
I ran to my car and watched as Cole slowly made his way over as well.
We got to the beach and we were the only ones there. I took off my t-shirt and jeans before I walked straight into the water.
Cole followed shortly thereafter. We were messing around for awhile before Cole got serious.
He grabbed me gently by the chin and examined my face, he was studying the large bruise that had showed up. He ran his fingers lightly over my cheek and I hissed a small noise of pain.
I looked into his eyes and put my hand over his.
"You're amazing, Leisa."
"You're pretty amazing yourself, Cole."
Cole put his hands on my waist. "I was wondering if maybe you'd like to go to the football game tomorrow?" He asked.
"Well, duh. You're in it so I wouldn't miss it." I smiled.
"You didn't let me finish." Cole stated. "I was wondering if you'd wear my jersey?"
My eyes lit up like a Christmas tree. "Of course!" I exclaimed. I wrapped my arms slightly more tight around his neck and placed a gentle kiss on his lips.
A/N~ sorry for the short chapter, it was kind of a filler. ~A/N
