Chapter 1

Trust me when I say you don't want to mess with me. If you don't believe me then ask others who have infuriated a blood witch. Not many have lived to tell the tale so you may have some difficulty.

If this doesn't tell you anything then I still don't recommend angering me. I'm what you call special. For my age I have unbelievable power.

With this power comes great responsibility and many tasks. For one, my life will be elongated to enable me to pass on my wisdom to the next Elite that is born into the coven. Here's the thing, I'm only 18. Generally elites come into their power around 30. With me being so young it's caused a bit of a stir within other covens. Trust me when I say I never asked for this. Sure the power is cool but being the next Elite throws off my life. I'm expected to always be available to help the coven with anything. Whether it be a little bit of blood magic to helping a witch pass on to the next life.

Now, I must inform you about blood witches otherwise you won't know what to fear. We aren't very well known. We hide from humans mostly, wishing to stay secret. There was a time when we were known but after helping someone they would burn us or hang us for "siding with those from Tartarus."

Our help came from our ability to use blood in our magic. We can figure out anything about you from the past year that has to do with blood or your body just by tasting a bit of your blood. No we are not vampires. Now for Elites they have the same ability but the power is ten fold. We can tell everything from your life. Now, if we have a sample of your blood we can cast powerful spells over you.

Blood witches do enjoy the drinking of blood but it's only Elites that need it to survive. Depending on the Elite depends on the blood you drink. Some like blood from little innocent children while some enjoy a more mature, sexual taste from their drink. It just depends.

Now onto the fun part, making you fear the dark. Or daylight. Or anything. Different witches follow different gods or goddesses and become stronger in the element of the god or goddess that chooses them. Generally, Elites have several gods that choose them giving them more power than they already have. Confusing I know but you will get used to it. Maybe. That is if you don't die first. 

Blood witches tend to pretend to be normal people. Farming, raising animals for slaughter, and all of that good stuff. We go and sell things at local human markets, making a profit and seeking out our next meal or victim. What helps is that every blood witch seems to be perfect. All the men have perfect hair and lips and muscles making them look like a god. The women having rounded hips and full breasts with perfectly styled hair. And that's just in normal clothing! During a ritual or a ball that some are invited to every blood witch looks like a god that has come to earth to seduce another mortal. Now, there are those that can see through our charms or just see us as a real person and enjoy our personality instead of looks. It just depends on their lineage. 

Now there is something important you must know. Blood witches are not allowed to marry or procreate with a normal human. It is against council law. If this happens the lightest punishment is 100 lashings and the death of the bastard child. The worst is death to both partners and the child will be a slave to one of the wealthier families. Let's just say most of the slaves tend to end their own life before they are very old. 

Now that you know all of this will you fear me? Will you dare enter my world of destruction for this is just the tip of the iceberg.
