Beth and Michael have been together for three years and two months. They couldn't have been any happier. Many people thought they were meant to be together even before their relationship actually started. And nobody doubted the love Michael had for her and the other way around. Like any other relationship, they also had ups and downs but what would a relationship be without them? Boring, exactly.
One day Michael woke up before Beth did, which happened rarely, so he decided to make her some blueberry pancakes, her favourite. He also put something special in her pancake, she'd definitely be surprised about that.
When everything was finished, he went back upstairs to their bedroom to wake her up. "Babe, I made us some breakfast. Wake up. I love you" he said while softly shaking her. "I love you too" she mumbled while burying her head in the pillow. "C'mon, the pancakes are getting cold." He said with a smile on his lips. "PANCAKES?" she asked, almost falling out of the bed. He chuckled "yes".
When they were in the kitchen he watched her every move. How she sat down in front of her pancakes and looked at them like they were her newborn baby. How she took her first bit of his delicious, selfmade pancakes. How she looked surprised when the knife in her hand cut something silver in her food.
He couldn't withhold the smile that creeped on his lips anymore. Then he put his head in his hands, smiling goofily. "Michael?" She asked surprised, grabbing a ring out of the pancake. He went on the other side of the table, took the ring out of her hand and kneeled down in front of her. "Beth," he started seriously, "i love you more than anything. You're my world, my life. And I want to spend the rest of my life with you, I want to show you off as my wife, I want to see you smile everyday, I want to cook for you, I want to wake up next to you everyday, I want to tell our grandchildren the story of how we met, how I met their grandmother, I want to get old with you, I never wanna lose you." He took a big breath and asked her: "Will you marry me?" He asked her hopefully. A tear ran down her cheek as she nodded. "Yes" she whispered and she repeated her answer a little louder. Michael slipped the ring on her finger and she hugged him tightly. "I love you" she whispered in his ear before he pulled away slightly. Then he kissed her, his fiancée.
