[In the town of Thalirin]

Kasumi : Neko!

=> A girl with blonde hair and a pigtail running towards the girl name Neko in full speed. The girl name Neko turn around and see the pigtail girl panting in front of her.

Neko : Oh, Kasumi chan. Is something wrong?

Kasumi : *Trying to catch her breath* I heard... I-I heard that...

Neko : *Raise an eyebrow* You heard what?

Kasumi : I-I heard t-that...

Neko : *Irritated* Tell me already!

Kasumi : Konoki is back!

=> Upon hearing that name, Neko's eyes turn bigger and she feel some butterflies flying around in her stomach. She is frozen in the spot.

Neko : K-Kono-c-chan... i-is back?

=> A big smile crawl up on her face as she clasp her friend's hands together and said.

Neko : Oh thank you Kasumi chan!! *Run off*

Kasumi : Your w-welcome...

=> Kasumi manage to say before she fall flat on the floor for running too much.

It has been 3 years since I've last seen Kono chan. When we were kids, Kono chan and I were always together and could never be separated. That's mainly because he and I were raised by the same person. Both Kono chan and I were orphans, I was first to be taken in by Ruen (the man who practically raised us like his own children) and then Kono chan was brought in. Ruen died a couple years back but before he did, he asked his most trusted friend, Nobobu for a favor and that was to look after us when he's gone. It brought pained to the both of us when we lost our loving father who taught us everything we know but Kono chan was strong enough to not let that affect him.

H never shed a tear, not once since Ruen died. He held them in and one of the reasoned he does so, was because he was trying to stay strong for my sake, in order to protect me. He wouldn't say it but I most definitely could feel it. Anyway, 3 years ago, Kono chan received a personal task that only he was fit for the job. His task was to set out into the human world, the most dangerous task for us Thalirins. Only those with great strength will be given a task to venture out into the human world and Kono chan is strongest among us here.

Thalirins are known for their sly tricks and their fire-casting magic. We are also known for creating traps and illusion for our enemies. And we treat each other with respect and care for one another like families. Some of us are born with cat-like ears and some of us are born with only claws and fangs. We call them a half-breed. Those who have cat-like ears, claws, fangs and have the gift to see visions are called full-breed. I am a full-breed. Thalirins are not the only race in Ashwick. There are others like us out there with different powers and gifts. I just haven't met them yet since I don't go out that much. Mainly because Nobobu forbids me to go =,=

I really miss Kono chan while he was away for 3 whole years. Yes, that's right. I have a crush on Kono chan and have been in love with him since I was 12. If you calculate the years I've been in love with Kono chan up until now, that'll sum them all up to 5 years. And what's worst is... Kono chan have no idea at all! >~<
