{C.H.A.P.T.E.R 6}

=> After the battle with 2nd rank demon, Irachi Kabuto, the 3 friends continue on with their journey. While walking in the forest, they reach a familiar town.

Mikaela : Yu, isnt this...

Konoki : The town of Thalirins...

Miyada : There's nothing but ashes here.... what happened to this place?

Konoki : Before Neko and I were transported to the human world, our home was attacked. And this place was it.

Miyada : So you mean this town is...

Konoki : Our home.

Mikaela : Yu, the people here... what do you think happened to them?

Konoki : I have no idea but it feels like we're about to find out soon.

Miyada : Hey, aren't these footprints?

=> Konoki and Mikaela rushed to Miyada's sides, checking out the footprints.

Mikaela : These footprints belong to the Thalirins. I think they headed that way...

Konoki : C'mon.. lets follow them.

=> The footprints led them to a river. By the time they arrived, it was already dark.

Mikela : We need to cross the river to get to the other side. But its already dark out. Its too risky to cross it now.

Miyada : Maybe we should wait till' sunrise.

Mikaela : *Nod then looks at Konoki* Yu?

Konoki : *Sigh* Guess it cant be helped. Lets camp here for the night.

=> So they decided to put up a camp near the river. Mikaela went to look for woods and came back with a few of them. Konoki helped to set up a fire which he successfully did in 3 times. Konoki and Miyada were leaning against the tree branch while Mikaela had his back against the tree.

Miyada : *Sleeping on Konoki's shoulder*

Konoki : *Holding her hand to keep her warm*

Mikaela : ...... What do you think Akane is doing right now?

Konoki : *Slightly chuckle* I still cant get use to that name...

Mikaela : Well get use to it cuz I'm not going to stop...

Konoki : Lol............ To be honest, I'm not sure what Neko is doing right now but... I do know she's hanging in there. She's tough after all *Smile*

Mikaela : ........

Konoki : Hmm? Mika?

Mikaela : Yu....

Konoki : Yeah?

Mikaela : I've been in love before.

Konoki : *Cough* E-eh? W-why are you telling me that?

Mikaela : I just thought you should know. I loved her since we were kids but she was taken away from me. I cried every night in my sleep thinking of how weak I was for not being able to protect the ones I loved. Ever since that day, I promised to get stronger... to absorb unlimited power into my body. The experiment.... what they did to me was unforgivable, that's for sure but.... without the experiment, I wouldnt be able to obtain such powers. Part of me was grateful to them for giving me the ability to protect my new family.
