I cycled so far and fast with tears running down my face that I lost track of time, I had probably been pedaling for about an hour and I was in a strange town I had never heard of before. It was called blueville or something like that. I grew hungry after cycling for a long while so I decided to stop at a convenience store to buy food with the little money I had stashed in my back pocket. when I walked into the store I bumped into a girl that looked around my age. "hey, watch where your going" she exclaimed while dusting herself off. She was dressed in black leggings and wore a plain white shirt accompanied by a black leather jacket and a nike cap. We had a moment were we just stared at each other, but she broke the silence by asking what I was looking at. I stuttered that it was nothing and proceeded to ask if she could show me around town because I was new. she chuckled and agreed then said that she lived in the present and that if I wanted her to show me around town, we would have to go now. So I quickly bought a chocolate bar and we took off. Her name was Alexis and she rocked this badass attitude, although, I think that deep inside she was a softie. I asked her many questions about different things, but when it came to her past, she wouldn't reply. She then asked me how I ended up in blueville, and I explained the whole story to her. everything went silent for a while until we suddenly stopped on our passage. she looked at me and said that there were some people she wanted me to meet. She led me to a mysterious area, the streets were covered in rappers and chewed up gum, and people were staring at us as we strolled down the way. We walked into this sketchy looking alley and we walked some more until we reached a small house with a sturdy door. Alexis pushed open the door with her hip and said while raising her hands in the air "welcome to mi casa". I have to admit, her house looked pretty cool. It was decorated with Christmas lights all over her wooden walls and she had this awesome looking Nirvana poster. There were some people, mostly dressed in black or grey, chilling on her couch and listening to rock music, and I felt comfortable for once. She introduced me to 2 of her friends, Kelly and Matt. Kelly had blond, curly hair that fell to the middle of her back and she had dark brown eyes, she looked like a friendly person, although her attitude said other wise. And Matt was a stunning young man that had mid-length, brown, wavy hair that covered his forehead, and had hazel eyes that I wanted to stare at for hours. He was awfully kind and we talked for a while. He was kind of shy, but it was cute. We had a lot of things in common and I finally felt as if I wasn't alone. After a few hours of chilling and discussing about life, the night came by and Alexis let me stay at her house, she's a very kind soul. I slept on the floor with a blanket and a pillow while the others slept on the couch and bed. it was surprisingly comfortable yet I couldn't manage to fall asleep. I was thinking of Alex and Kevin, if they were okay or not, and how worried Lilly and Yohan must have been. I kept tossing and turning and I thought that I woke Matt up because he came to ask if I was ok. I told him why I couldn't sleep, and he suggested we take a walk to get my mind off of it, and ofcourse, I accepted. We walked around the block, then he took me to a place where he would go to when he was little. It was some stone steps near the library, and the view of the stars was amazing from there. we looked up and just stared at the night sky for a while until he told me that he would go there when his parents got drunk and argued. he said that his parents would abuse him and his sister, so he would come here to run away from it all and be who he wanted to be. I was glad he told me this, because I now felt like I could trust him. we told each other stories about our past and just talked until the sun rose. it was a really nice feeling to express what was on my mind without worrying about being judged. Afterwards, we shared the chocolate bar that I had purchased the day before, while walking back to Alexis' place. I felt as if I really connected with Matt, and I liked that feeling. On the way there, we were stopped by a man that pulled out his gun and yelled that we gave him back what was his, we insisted that we had no idea what he was saying so he shot Matt in the arm and ran away. Matt fell to the ground, covered in blood and I quickly knelt down to try and help him. He was injured really badly, I didn't know if he was going to live or die.
