Armani Phantomblade: The end of time part 1

6. Secret Meeting.

Armani and Spring-heeled Jack sat in their room waiting for the sounds of Cass-Chiri waking about at night. It was around midnight, the stars were twinkling through the windows and the air was silent and still. They had been sat waiting for almost a full night waiting for Cass-Chiri to walk by.

"Listen, I can hear someone going by." Jack said as the sound of shuffling feet came through the corridor.

"In the vent, now. We'll use the decoys to make it seem as though we are asleep!" Armani said opening the small hatch door on the wall.

Spring-heeled Jack inflated two small decoys about the same size of them both and laid them in the beds. They climbed into the small ventilation shafts before closing the hatch door just as Cass-Chiri walked in, looked around before walking out. Armani and Jack silently crawled through the vents alongside Cass-Chiri just as she went outside. They climbed out of the vents onto the roof and ran along the rooftops for half-an-hour before Cass-Chiri went into a small building. They jumped down and headed inside, checking each room before proceeding. They heard voices in the end room which was larger than the other two and opened the door just a crack to listen to what was being said.

"So Cass, the demons sent two of their team to guard you?" A gruff voice said.

"That's right, their asleep in their beds right now." She replied.

"OK, to business. The demi-demon whose working with us said he can get us to any dimension. We just have to ask." Another voice chimed in.

"Well, this makes getting to the demon dimension a whole lot easier." The gruff voice added in.

"We can continue with Operation X: Claim the many realms now!" Cass-Chiri replied.

"We can, you wont." A small voice put in.

"But, I don't understand, I helped you!" Cass added in.

"Yes you did, your also the ruler of us. We are against the ruling head, you have to die!" The gruff voice said with a small laugh.

"No, no this cannot happen!" Cass-Chiri said scared backing against the door as the sound of a sword being drawn was heard.

Armani and Spring-heeled Jack burst in with their weapons drawn ready to strike at the enemies as they came. The council of leaders who were representing the rogue cell along with Cass-Chiri began to strike at them. The council members were cut down and Cass-Chiri was the last one standing in the corner. Blood splattered on the walls, male, female, tall and short Saitama rogue leaders lay dead upon the floor with their bodies slashed open.

"P-Please...I won't work for the Rogue Cell anymore, just let me live!" Cass-Chiri begged.

"Where is the headquarters!?" Armani asked grabbing her shirt.

"I'll show you Skeleton warrior!" She responded.

With her arm pressed against her back, Cass-Chiri lead the two demons through the alley-ways and small back-alleys so the creatures of darkness do not see them before arriving at a tree trunk.

"Password?" A voice called from inside.

"Jigglypuff!" Cass-Chiri parroted.

The door slid open to reveal a secret lift going down into the base. Pleased with her work, Armani gave Spring-Heeled Jack the nod to kill the guard and hide the body. Jack sliced his bladed glove into the guards stomach before grabbing him, flinging him over his shoulder and throwing him over the edge. They ventured deeper into the base of operations before placing charges alongside each room and the next lift too. They got down to the main control room of the headquarters where there was a demi-demon encased within a glass tube who was severely burnt and was missing some limbs. He was hooked up to an oxygen mask whilst surrounded by water. Armani placed charges along every inch of that room before getting out of there. They threw the got to the entrance when a group of rogue Saitama's blocked the exit.

"If we burn, you burn with us! You won't escape with her!" The leader of them said.

"Then I'd like to see you take her from us!" Jack yelled back.

Armani knocked out Cass-Chiri before pulling out Khalida and engaging the Saitama in battle. Armani was flinging fireballs in every direction and swinging his blade killing everyone who came running at them. He ran Khalida straight into the intestines of one Saitama who ran at Jack while he was preoccupied with the stronger of the Rogue Saitama. Armani killed the others but as he ran towards Jack, he noticed he'd been stunned and was lying on the ground, cold but alive.

"You Bitch!" Armani barked before flying into him.

His blade became lodged inside of the Saitama's chest killing him effectively. He released the blade and inserted a new one into the handle before dragging Jack and Cass-Chiri out of the base, behind a nearby tree and detonating the explosives. They heard the creatures come running into the flames burning and the sound of screaming, burning alive within the destroyed base. Armani stood tall as the dragon lodged it's head inside of the flames, burning up and dropping to the ground, dead. Jack awoke next to Cass-Chiri behind the tree while Armani watched every creature that went towards the flames burn. He let out a maniacal laugh before turning to see Jack standing up behind him.

"We won Jack, the rogue cell's HQ is down!" Armani bellowed.

"That's okay, what about..." Jack responded pointing at Cass-Chiri who was now stiring into consciousness.

"She dies!" Armani said with a sigh.

"Or, we erase her mind of meeting the rogue cells and us!" Jack suggested.

"Let's do that. Shame she won't remember us." Armani replied. 

Suddenly, there was a loud crash and gunfire as a new rogue group emerged. They came towards Armani and Jack with their weapons in their arms. They had a smile on their faces and they withdrew their weapons. They must have the same intentions as the old rogue cell but seemed to want no interest with Cass-Chiri. Instead, they wanted to kill the old rogue cell. They wanted to kill the old members and now, their mission was completed for phase one.

"We want to speak to you, we know you did this and now we are ready to explore the other dimensions. We want new colonies, new allies and new weapons." The leader said.

"What be your name?" Armani asked.

"My name is Zainab." He replied. They turned their backs on them and headed towards the town again.

Armani and Jack followed quickly behind with Cass-Chiri on his shoulders. They arrived at the town after an hour of walking and laid Cass-Chiri on the bed.
