Jack's view

I sat up in my bunker. It was 2:49. We had to get up at 4:00. I sigh and prop myself up. My leg was healing, but very slowly.

I tried not to scream in pain as I pulled off the bandages. I yelped as I saw. It was mostly healed, except it was yellow and swollen. It looked like all the colors of the pukebow.

Mark stirred and got up. He was above me. He jumped down and grinned at me "Are you up for target practice?"

I nodded and got up. He slipped his arm under mine and murmured something. I was nervous. We were going to battle in two days. The German captain, Captin Doormer, said we going to attack.

I hoped no one would notice me. I had been here for months. My aim was almost perfect. "Can we come?" I didn't have to turn around to know it was Cry and Felix. Mark nodded.

Apparently, Cry and Felix had been dating for years. They were a very cute couple. I felt my face burn as I though of dating, mainly because my mind went to Mark.

I really, really liked him. I mean, he saved my life. I was too scared to tell him how I felt. I didn't even know if he was gay. I was gay. Before this whole war started, I had a boyfriend named Connor, but he'd been abusive.

I shuddered as I though of all the things he'd done to me. Let's just say I was no longer innocent. I aimed the gun and shoot the target in the heart.

I shoot some more target's then did push ups, weights, and track. A lot of people on base hated this schedule. I loved it.

I was so much more strong and lean. So much so that my leg didn't slow me down. We were given small portions every three days. That's how we afford the nice guns and such. People also whined about the food, but I didn't eat much anyways.

It was two day's later. I flopped around in a bed. I couldn't sleep. How could I after what I'd seen today...

I aimed my gun and fired. The bullet shot an enemy in the head. It was a battle. We were winning, of course. My leg was healed, I was strong.

Suddenly I heard a voice "Sean..." It was so familiar. I turned around and gasped at what I saw. A man stood there holding Cry by his hair "Meet me here, in three day's, midnight. Or I'll kill everyone you love!" He shot the bullet and ran, the Irish side running with him.

I ran to Cry, but Felix beat me to. He picked up Crys limp body "Cry? CRY?" Felix fell to his knees sobbing. I heard Mark approach. He gasped when he saw.

Tears filled my eyes, because it was my fault. I turned around and buried my face in Marks chest. He didn't say anything, he put his arms around me tightly.

I sat up, a wave of guilt hitting me. I knew the message of him killing Cry. I had three days left to live.
