Look ok, girls a loaded with dress codes and they are constantly being told what they can and can't wear. I am confident in who I am, how I dress, what I feel. I should have the right to stand out and be bold, I should have the right to look and feel beautiful! Girls have to strictly follow dress code and if we brake it it's made a big deal out of. But guys, oh they can wear whatever they want. Guys don't need a jean pass. And let's say that I'm in dress code but I'm wearing sweatpants and an oversized sweater. Even then it's taken out of proportion. One day I feel good about myself and wear makeup and people tell me that I look fake, but when I don't wear makeup I look ugly. There is no way to feel beautiful being a girl and honestly dress code makes it worse. What is dress code supposed to tell girls? That they can't feel beautiful. Oh no they can feel beautiful as long as it doesn't effect the way guys see us. HOW IS THAT SUPPOSED TO BE OK???? I want to be able to wear what I want feel beautiful and not have to be bombarded by principals and councilors bc we don't look the way they want us to.
