Elvira's Sight (Diary of a blind albino girl)

Chapter 3

My mom called me down for dinner, so I made my way down the stairs to the kitchen. Dinner was vegetarian subs, and man was it amazing. After, I went back up to my room, and finished my homework on the computer.

I put on some old music, "All Again for You," by We the Kings. I thought that I would be able to listen to it, but I obviously couldn't. My eyes started tearing up, and I felt like my heart was being ripped out of my chest all over again. That had been the song for me and the one boy who had meant more to me than anyone else- Tristan.

We hadn't been friends for even a year. I met him because I was in a band, and he joined it. He played bass, and was the one who inspired me to play. I had been the singer, he was the bass player, and back then, I could see. He was about 5'5 or 5'6, with long black hair that came to his chin. He had dark eyes that would captivate you. The first day I met him, I fell for him.

We didn't see each other much, but we kept in constant contact. We called each other, we texted, and everything else. Tristan had brought me something that I hadn't had in quite some time- complete bliss.

We weren't going out, but I wish we would have. He lived far away, and I never got to see him, but he was everything to me. I remembered how we shared everything, from secrets to fantasies to our little quirks.

I remembered how he had told me how he was going to dye his hair blonde, and it turned out orange. We laughed for days, until he could get it dyed a true blonde. We shared a similar interest in music, and showed each other new songs and bands.

I thought about that day when I told him I had never been called beautiful. He was shocked, and was the first boy to ever tell me that I was- he said it right there and then. It was through a text, not as personal, but it still made my heart race.

I asked him what he thought of me, and he said that I was cute and funny, and that I made him smile. I remembered how my heart felt like it would beat out of my chest. And how not more than two weeks later, he ripped it out of my chest.

I had been texting him, and he said he was hanging out with his friend Kali. I was a tad jealous, but hey, he was allowed to hang out with girls and guys and whoever the heck he wanted! He joked around about how he was banging her, and I laughed along, but getting a little worries. He was just joking, right?

He didn't reply to my message for a while, but it happens. You don't hear your phone, or are busy and can't answer it. I began to get a little jealous, seeing as when he did reply, he only talked about Kali. That's when he told me something that tilted my world off of it's axis.

"I made out with Kali. And that wasn't my first time."
