6: Hard Hitting

Elly's POV

It has been a week since I ran into the wolf in the glade and I still can't get it off my mind. I feel like a part of me is missing, like I'm messed up. School is starting in a few days and thanks to my parents they want my senior year to be spent in a brick prison. I have been homeschooled all of my life and I don't do well in confined spaces.
I walked into the front pasture with the mares and foals and I sat down catching the attention of a bay colt. He starts wobbling toward me gradually gaining speed until he trips sending him tumbling to my feet. I look him over and laugh as he picks up his head and licks my boots. In that moment I decided I would spend the next few weeks halter training the foals and improving my new found powers.

Jake's POV
      I was back at the pack house talking to my dad when my mom busted into the office looking really panicked.
   "What's wrong mom?" I asked.
   "The council has spoken and they said that you have to find your mate in two months or you can't take the position of Alpha of this pack." She replied.
      I guess I better explain. My Mom, Nancy, and my Dad, Alex, are current Alpha and Luna of the Blue Moon pack. I am the upcoming Alpha, well I might be. Now it seems that if I don't find my mate in two months I won't take the Alpha position. With school starting in two weeks I will hopefully run into them there.
The school our pack goes to is Shipton High School. It's the only high school for miles and only a few humans go because all there is out here is farm land.
I look down at my watch to see that it's 6:00 pm and I needed to go feed Shelby and Jacks horses.
I shifted and ran though the pack house gaining speed as I ran through the woods. I got to the tree line and shifted back into my human form running at a supernatural speed.

Elly's POV
I just got finished feeding and I am sweeping the feed room when I hear heavy foot steps heading to the barn, thanks to my horse hearing. I gripped the broom handle and held it in front of me walking toward the door. The steps were getting louder and closer so I put my hand on the door knob and... BAM I got hit by the door.
"What the hell?" I questioned trying to see what busted through the door.
"Oh shit. I'm so sorry." I heard a gruff voice say. My vision was still blurry, but whoever it is smells like clean linen, my favorite smell. I got pulled out of my thoughts, almost literally, by two strong arms wrapping around my back and pulling me to my feet. My head is still pounding and I'm starting to feel dizzy. Great. Just great. I'm stuck in here with a crazy person and I can barely stand up.
"Elly..." was all I heard from the gorgeous voice before I slumped forward and engulfed in darkness.

Salve! I'm hoping y'all like this chapter as I spent a lot of time on it. I should be starting my next chapter tomorrow after school😑🙄 and probably in my free time before Sound of Music rehearsal. Yee Yee I'm a nun and a nazi cause no guys auditioned😂 anyway love y'all!
