Endless Hours

I stepped into the building, walking into the huge main room of the building. There were a few students still staggering to find their locker, I imagine that's how I'll look in a few seconds. I sigh and breath in, looking around at the new scenery that I'm being introduced too.

The first thing I do is head to the office to see if I could have another copy of my schedule, because of course, I left mine sitting on the counter at home, I shouldn't have been in such a rush. I say to myself while mentally face palming, I manage to find the office in this maze of a school, I step through the heavy glass door. I sighed and looked around.

Standing behind the desk was the secretary, she was talking to these two other students. As soon as she finished I stepped up quickly, yet awkwardly, and spoke "Hi, I'm widow, I just recently moved here so I'm new and I accidentally left my schedule at home. I was wondering if you could print another one out so i don't get lost" I add a small chuckle at the end to sound less nervous. She looked at me with one eyebrow raised and sneered, she then turned towards the computer and types in my first name and turns to asking "so what's your last name?" I was so zoned out in my own thoughts when she asked me so it took me a while to notice she was angrily waiting for a response, "oh, sorry it's Widow Bloom." She turned back and typed it in, suddenly a awkward, old picture popped up in the screen with, basically, all my information. She clicks the print button and I stand there waiting in silence for my schedule to be fully printed.

The women got up from her seat and made her way to the printer, which was a crossed the room, I could've walked over and got it myself. She grabbed the paper, walked in front of me, stopped, and handed me the paper. It still was warm, that's probably the best feelings ever, having something be warm but not warm enough to burn you, kind of like clothes that freshly come out of the dryer.

I said thank you and exited the office, I looked down at my schedule looking for my locker number, 1240, 'that should be on the bottom floor' I thought to myself. I looked for a good 15 minutes, I was so late to class, but I finally found it. I opened it, grabbed the stuff I needed, and jogged to my first class. I sighed when I seen my first class was History, out of all classes to have first period.

I finally made it in front of the door, it was closed, I stood there becoming more anxious as the seconds, which felt like hours, past with me standing there. I reach my hand out and onto the handle and take a deep breath, then I turn it, that's it there is no going back now. 'Why couldn't I have just knocked like a normal person?' I thought as I slowly pull open the wooden door. As soon as people could see me in the door way, the teacher stopped and looked at me. I stepped inside the room, hoping to just sit down and he'd continue with whatever he was saying.

I was wrong, teachers never let late student slide, "hi, who are you", the teacher asked, "I'm Widow, im new here and I was in the office getting my sch-", I was interrupted by him saying "don't be late again, I will not hesitate to give out any detentions." I stared at the fact that he cut me off when I was trying to explain myself. I sat there the rest of class just writing in my journal until the bell rang.

The teachers here are so rude. Or maybe that's just because it's Friday and they want to go home. Either way, it wasn't a good day to start off with. Something strange did happen today though, while Mr. Caputo, the history teacher, was talking this girl with golden blonde hair and solid green eyes was staring at me basically the whole time, I kept looking over and she wouldn't stop for nothing. Did she know me? Does she think she knows me? I've never seen her in my life. It was strange but I have to admit she was pretty. Oh. Maybe she was staring cuz of what I was wearing. That would make sense. I'm sure no average person shows up with an outfit to match their eye color. Anyway the bell is about to ring, gtg. Bye! ~W.B

I walked out of the classroom and continued with the rest of my day, soon it was time to go home. It felt like the longest day ever. Thank god I'm going home, I walk out of the building and see my dad waiting for me. I jog over to the car and get it, it was weird he usually talks to me but this time he didn't. The car ride was really quiet and tense, we arrived home, I got out of the car, and walked in the house. I went to my room and plopped down on the floor. I was so tired I passed out without a care in the world.

I woke up hours later, I yawned, and decide to unpack more stuff so it would be clean for when we go and get the furniture tomorrow morning. 'It won't take that long, right?' I thought to myself as I picked up a box.
