It took a while for Sasha to get used to living ‘domestically’ again, and it took everyone else a while to get used to Haley becoming the lead captain for the war, but most took it pretty well, most looked up to Haley as their leader.
Alex lay against the wall with Sasha, tossing a rubber ball onto the floor and catching it when it bounced back up. “Sasha you need a haircut.” He said bluntly.
Sasha ducked his head down and laughed. “Nope, never. No one’s getting close to my ears with a pair of scissors.” He sneered.
“We don’t have to go somewhere professional, you just really need a haircut-“
“No.”
Haley looked up from the book she was reading and at the two, mainly at Sasha. “You need a haircut you look like a fucking lion.” She commented plainly.
Sasha opened his mouth as if to reply but closed it and sighed. “Fine.” He said.
Alex petted his head. “Hey, no one is going to cut your ears in the process, I promise dude.” He reassured.
Sasha huffed and lay back against the wall looking up suddenly groaning overly dramatically. “ABBY.” He screeched.
Alex sighed and watched his bedroom door open and his mother enter.
“Yes Sasha?”
“Will you give me a haircut?”
“Of course Sasha.”
Abby was gone for a few minutes and then came back with a spray bottle and some scissors. She motioned Sasha to come and sit in the empty chair next to the desk.
He got up and went to sit the chair, huffing still. “Don’t make it too short please…” He muttered out.
“Just close your eyes and when I say open them the haircut will be done.” She smirked and turned him away from the mirror and when he closed his eyes she began to cut at his hair. After a lot of snipping she was finally done and she spun Sasha around to face the mirror. “Okay, open your eyes!” She said.
He slowly opened them slowly and tensed lightly, then sighed inwardly. It wasn’t as bad as she could have made it. It still covered his real ears and he still had bangs. The haircut could have gone worse. He smiled at Abby and got up. “Thanks Abby.”
She snorted and nodded. “You’re welcome Sasha.” She said. Afterwards she swept up the cut hair and took the supplies back downstairs. “If you need anything else, just yell.” She explained, fleeing back to her room.
The rest of the night was kind of a bore, Haley finally decided to do something productive with her night. She closed her book and stood up, stretching out her back with her tail swaying contently. “I’m going to the store to get supplies.” She said.
Sasha looked at her and stood up also. “I’ll go too, just in case.” He insisted. She groaned and nodded. “We’ll be back soon Alex.” They both said, closing the bedroom door behind them.
Alex shrugged and just sat reading a book as he was doing before they left. Once he’d finished the book he groaned and tumbled around on his bed, impatiently waiting for Sasha and Haley to return from shopping. Upon shuffling on his bed he heard footsteps outside his door and sat up straight.
“Hello?” He murmured out.
The door opened and someone invited themselves in, someone he didn’t know. It was an Ershio, he could see that, but not one he’d seen before. This one had ram horns and though ‘she’ had thick bangs, he could spot her glowing pink eyes through the darkness shrouding her face. She stepped further in and smiled lightly at Alex, he would of felt alarmed because someone—who had the potential to be dangerous—he didn’t know was in his room, but he felt stimulatingly calm.
