The first thing I did when I got back to my room is to look for the perfect outfit to wear. The ball starts at 8PM and I still got two hours to prepare. In the middle of searching, I sat down and contemplated about the events that transpired today.

"I am proud of you!" I muttered to myself smiling.

I'm proud because there wasn't a single instance wherein I felt sad. I felt strong today.

I didn't cry seeing that cute couple in front of us in Chinatown. I didn't cry when we got to the Merlion Park, a place where he promised he would take me back when we were still together.

"Today was generally a good day." I told myself. Yes I was strong but I have to give a lot of credit to Arthur. He made this day a happy one.

I tie my hair in a sleek ponytail to accentuate the hard work I exerted in doing my make up. The sharp eyeliner above a smoky eyeshadow helped make my eyes looked bigger. I added fake lashes for a more dramatic look. I also did some contouring to make my cheeks look smaller. Then, I topped it all off with a bloody red matte lipstick. Pleased, I started putting on my dress.

I chose my white sweetheart-tube long dress for the occasion. It's simple and classy with an added flare coming from the high slit on the right. I paired it with a white one strapped stiletto and a shining silver purse.

My phone beeped. Arthur is already waiting downstairs.

The elevator opened at the 51st floor – The grand ballroom floor. Immediately I was greeted by a huge crowd of people; men in tux and women in gowns of all sort of style and color. The whole floor looked like a Hollywood red carpet event. I am so glad I didn't hold back in glamorizing myself.

"Ria!" A familiar voice shouted from behind.

I turned slowly. I saw Arthur looking more handsome as ever in a navy blue tuxedo. He was holding his camera and quickly snapped a picture of me.

I smiled then, he put the camera down. I was walking towards him; my eyes set directly towards his eyes.  He is smiling so big his chinky eyes are almost nonexistent.

"You look stunning

"You look stunning." He spoke first.

"You've been complimenting me the whole day Mr. I might just believe you." I wittingly replied.

"It's true. You're the most beautiful girl in this crowd. I'm so lucky!" He's so serious.

I'm thinking of a comeback but I can feel butterflies in my stomach. All I could utter is "Thank you!"  Beneath the make up, I know I'm blushing for sure.

At the middle of a floor was a huge staircase that divides into two directions halfway. At the right hand bottom of it is a reception desk. On the left stands a group of ushers and usherettes assisting guests after they've gone through the reception.

"Hi Ma'am!  Good evening!" I was greeted warmly by a lovely petite receptionist.

"Hi! Good evening! I have a reservation." I replied.

"Your name and room number please?" She replied.

"Ria Del Rio, Marina Suite 5012." I answered.

I saw her face lit up after saying this. "Oh Hi Ms. Ria! Let me personally escort you to your dining area." In my head she sounds almost excited.

"Oh okay." I'm turning a bit suspicious now. And then I turn in to Arthur and signaled him to come over.

Going up the stairs my suspicion grew bigger as I noticed that we were heading to the stairs on the right instead of on the left where most of the guest are heading in.

Arthur has no idea but I'm breathing heavily inside as theories starts to form in my head. He is holding my hand carefully assisting me at every step. He is such gentleman, a very handsome gentleman.

I was about to ask the receptionist but before I knew it we are already in front of a huge two door entry.  She was smiling big and then she opened the door for us. I gasp.
