uri recognized the place Victor had driven him as their local ice cream parlor. Yuri got out of the car and made his way inside, following after Victor. "What would you like Yuri?", Victor asked.
"Oh, I'm fine" Yuri replied in a quiet voice.
"Oh nonsense, you must want something. Everybody loves ice cream!"
"No really, I'm fine."
Victor ignored Yuri's protests, and ordering Yuri a butter pecan cone. Little did he know, that was Yuri's favorite flavor. They got their ice cream and sat down at one of the booths in the back. "So, do you want to talk about it?" Victor asked, taking on a more serious tone, a small smile never leaving his face.
Surprisingly, Yuri wanted to talk about it. Talking about it helped him pinpoint the problem and work towards solving it. At least that's what his therapist told him. Usually he would talk to his mom, his dad, or his sister, but Victor had this trust worthy vibe about him, making Yuri less reluctant to open up to him.
"I've had bad anxiety since I was thirteen. I don't know when it started, or how but I just found it hard to talk to people, to be in a crowd. Sometimes the darkness even triggered an attack. I got a therapist for it when I was fourteen. He tells me I should talk about, so that's why I'm telling you all this. But today, when there was that fight, I got stuck in the crowd. I was being pushed around and I just got really anxious. I felt an attack coming on, so I sprinted to the bathroom. God forbid I break down in front of everyone. I don't think I could have handled all those pairs of eyes on me. When I ran to the bathroom I just collapsed. And you know what happened after that. Oh god, I'm probably boring you to death and you probably don't even care. I'm so stupid, I'm so sorry, you're just so easy to talk to and-"
Yuri's incessant babbling was cut off by Victor. "Yuri, of course I care. You could never bore me. You're too cute." Yuri blushed at that. Victor continued talking.
"When I saw you run off like that, I got worried." The happiness in his eyes disappeared for a second, as if he was thinking about something sad, but it was as gone as soon as it came, replaced by happiness once again. "I followed you to see what was wrong. I'm glad you told me all of that so I can be there with you next time!"
"N-next time!?!?" Yuri exclaimed.
"Of course! The next time you're freaking out about something, you're about to have an anxiety attack, if you're feeling down, or if you just wanna...talk." Victor stated, the last part sounding rather suggestive.
"Y-YOU DON'T H-HAVE TO DO THAT!" Yuri said a bit too loudly. He corrected himself, wincing at how he had practically yelled at Victor. "I mean, I wouldn't want to be a bother", he said I bit quieter.
" Yuri, you are not a bother! Don't talk about yourself like that. Here, I'll put my number in your phone."
Victor reached for Yuri's phone. He put his number into the phone.
"Now I need your number. Come on, I know you won't want to call me at first, so I'll just call you!" Victor said with his ever present smile. Yuri gave Victor his number.
"Now, I'm sure you're tired, so I'm going to drive you home." They made their way out of the parlor and into Victor's car. They mostly sat in silence, with Yuri giving Victor directions every now and then.
They pulled up to Yuri's house. Victor insisted on walking Yuri to his door. Yuri searched for his keys, cursing himself for forgetting them that morning. He knocked on the door, hoping someone was home. His mother answered the door.
One look at Yuri's disheveled state and puffy eyes and Mrs. Katsuki knew exactly what had happened.
"Oh Yuri, come here" his mother said, pulling her son into a hug. Yuri sagged into his mother's arms. Victor stood by silently, not wanting to impose on their moment. When Yuri pulled away from his mother, she noticed Victor standing there.
"And who is this?" Yuri's mother asked, looking at the silver haired boy with a warm smile.
"My name is Victor Nikiforov, I found Yuri during his attack and I wanted to make sure he was well so I took him for ice cream to cheer him up and brought him here so he could rest up" Victor explained, an equally as warm smile gracing his angular face.
"Well thank you so much. Would you like to come in?" Mrs. Katsuki inquired.
"Thank you Mrs. Katsuki, I would love to" Victor said. He followed Mrs. Katsuki and Yuri inside, marveling at the cozy nature of the house.
"You have a lovely home Mrs. Katsuki."
"Thank you Victor, but please, call me Hiroko."
"Yes ma'am, Mrs. Hiroko." Victor said. Yuri giggled at Victor's constant politeness towards his mother, feeling a little better now that he'd talked about what had happened.
"Are you two hungry?" Mrs. Katsuki asked. As if on cue, Victor's stomach growled. Victor's cheeks tinted red and he admitted that he was.
"Well, in that case I'll whip up something for you two" Mrs. Katsuki said. The boys thanked her and Yuri made his way upstairs to his room, Yuri gesturing for Victor to follow him. They arrived at a room that he assumed to be Yuri's. He had a blue comforter on his queen sized bed and various posters adorning his grey walls.
Yuri awkwardly sat at his desk, turning his chair to face Victor, who had made himself comfortable by kicking off his shoes and snuggling up under Yuri's blue blanket. Yuri found this quite adorable, although he would never admit it. He also felt nervous that Victor would judge his room or think that the posters on his walls were childish. Yuri suddenly started feeling self conscious.
Victor's voice snapped him out of his thoughts. "Yuri, it's sooo cold in here. Let's cuddle!" Victor suggested.
It took a moment for Yuri to process what Victor had said. "W-what!?!?" Yuri exclaimed.
"Let's cuddle!" Victor repeated.
Yuri tried to stutter out a response but was saved by his mother calling Yuri downstairs. Yuri had never run down stairs so fast in his life.
