Every gasping breath I took felt like razor blades scraping against my lungs. My legs threatening to collapse at any given moment, aching for rest. A tug on my shoulder is what made me stop suddenly, making me tumble to the ground. Upon realizing it was Keith I grew angry at him for making us stop. "Keith, we nee-" I hissed, only to be cut off along with my angry expression, eyes widening.
He was a sobbing mess, eyes red and puffed up from crying, cold air only agitating him further. I could hear his loud, shaking breathes; but we couldn't stop- we weren't allowed to stop. I could still see those fucking flashlights and hear their shouting. I gripped on Keith's hand tighter and fled abruptly, feeling him stagger and trying to keep up the pace.
"Zerra.. Zerra, please! Please stop! I-I want to go.." His voice cracked at the end. I gripped his hand tighter and ran even faster. His breathe quivered for a moment.
A loud, ear piercing wail broke from him. Taking me by surprise, I turned and saw a red, snotty nose, eye puffed, and pain struck mess. His eyes, I've never seen that emotion and of all times I didn't want to, I didn't need to see it now.
My heart boiled with anger. Why does he have to cry right now? Why does he have to be so arrogant to me. We're ALMOST THERE."KEITH WE CAN'T FUCKING GO BACK!!" My face red from anger to the point of shaking, I strongly grabbed his wrist instead, dragging him along faster.
There wasnt anything infront of my feet. There was nothing to catch my body. I stared up at him in shock, confusion. Nothing has felt so slow, so unusual. I felt his wrist slip away from my grip and when the deafening cry from Keith pierced my ears painfully I was confused. My body felt weightless. It didn't hit me that I was I falling. It didn't hit me when I tilted my head back to see the sharp rocks and long awaited fall, it didn't hit me.. Until I felt my body fall onto the ground with such force that I felt my lungs slam against my ribcage.. My eyes watered with tears that wouldn't spill, the pain of tiny sharp pebbles scraping against my head, digging into my scalp while I slid against the ground. I shut my eyes tight with great force and feel weightless feeling halt. A sharp pain course through me and I choke on a sob. The immense pain is blocking my thoughts. My skin violently shredded against sharp rocks, stray twigs and plants wacking my body. I cant breathe. I can't breathe.
I cant breathe I cant breathe I cant breathe I cant breathe I cant breathe I cant breathe I cant breathe I cant breathe I cant breathe I cant breathe I cant breathe I cant breathe I cant breathe I cant breathe I cant breathe I cant breathe I cant breathe I cant breathe I cant breathe I cant breathe I cant breathe I cant breathe I cant breathe, Keith.H e l p M e O u t
