A child stood at the peak of Mount Ebott. They kneeled down on all fours, looking down at the seemingly bottomless bit. Their light brown hair covered some of their face when a soft breeze went by.

So this is it, they thought. Nothing.

They had hoped for some adventure in they're seemingly boring life.

Their mother had told them stories of how their father had died from monsters.

They hoped to see some here.

Their mother had told them many stories. Stories of how the brave 7 humans created the barrier and trapped the monsters. Stories of the great war between monsters and humans. Stories of how Mount Ebott was a way to meet the monsters, as children have disappeared here.

They had wanted to be one of the 7 humans.

But with the monsters gone, you could never know what trait your soul has. Without knowing your trait, you could never grow your trait's magical power.

They knew the traits well. Determination, Patience, Bravery, Justice, Integrity, Kindness and Perseverance. They knew each traits powers. Each trait boosted your skill. Patience increases your agility, as you need to be patient for the right moment and strike fast. Kindness allows you to heal your allies. Bravery can increase how much damage you do, no matter how weak your attack is. Justice improves your aim. Perseverance allows you to know all about your enemy. Integrity allows you to be swift and light.

That dream was impossible.

But maybe...

They could find the monsters.

They sat on the snow covered ground, watching the sun rise over the mountains, letting its warmth warm their sore limbs.

If only they knew where the monsters were.

This wasn't exactly the spot where monsters were found, as nobody saw monsters here. Or they just didn't want to be found.

I need to get back home, They thought. Before mum knew i went to Mount Eboott.

They stood on the slippery ground, hoping to find something super natural-like a sign of monsters.

It'll never happen anyway. Wishfull thinking.

They began walking down the mountain, cautiously. The steep tracks made of sand  and gravel were slippery due to the snow. Signs have been planted everywhere warning people about landslides and other dangerous things that could happened. They never happened away.

Midway, they stopped.

One last look, They assured themselves, I want to memorise the scenery. I still got time.

They began running up the tracks, their shoes hitting the track at every step causing the ground to shake slightly.

They ran towards the great hole in front of them.
