I looked up at him.
At Jeff The Killer.
"Josafina! Don't be afraid of me.. Please! You know what he was going to do.."
"Look at your clothes.. How are we going to explain this to Edward and Amy?
"I'm going to tell them the truth. I'm just hoping they don't rat me out."
"Are you sure?" Wow. I must mean a lot to him if he's seriously going to tell the truth.
He nodded.
"Alright. Wait in the car, we got to go, now."
He did as I said and I walked inside..
"Edward. We got to go, now."
He stared at me for a bit. "What? No, why?"
"Because you and Amy are about done with your steaks, and something bad happened. We need to go." I pulled out three twenty dollar bills from my pocket, and Edward pulled out two.
$100. That should definitely be enough.
They followed behind me until we made it to Edward's car, and Jeff and I explained everything that just happened, and I notioned to where that guy's dead body laid.
They didn't anything for a bit, until I broke the silence.
I noticed matches in the middle section of the car, and reached over from the backseat where Jeff and I sat and took them.
"Now, if you'll excuse me."
I stepped out of the vehicle, walked over to the body, lit a match, and threw it at him, and casually walked back into the car, trying not to think about what I just did, but I thought that this way, there will be no evidence of me or Jeff on him.
I got inside the car, everyone stared at me.
"Josafina, what the fuck!" Edward yelled at me.
"Now, if you're smart, you'll start driving away from here. I know someone must've heard screaming, and it won't be long until someone comes out to notice that burning body" I said inbetween tears.
Nobody spoke anything. for the rest of the ride home, and Edward was actually speeding, which isn't like him because he's usually such a cautious driver.
Finally.. we arrived home. Without anyone seeing, or suspecting us. As Edward unlocked the front door, leading me, Jeff and Amy inside, he looked at us for a bit before speaking.
"Amy, do you think you could spend a night? I mean, your parents are alright with us now since it has been three years, didn't you say?"
Amy nodded, "I'll ask, just to make sure."
His eyes adverted to Jeff. "And you. Can you, as well?"
Jeff and I both shockingly looked over to Edward, and then each other..
Uhwhatthefuck?
"I'm cautious about any of us leaving tonight, maybe I'm just paranoid, but I like you, Ryan. So, I want to make sure you don't somehow get caught tonight, so I want you to stay here. I want Amy to as well, for two reasons, I'm just afraid and if you can, I'd be needing company, hell no am I going to be a third wheel!" Ed explained.
"I.. I'll ask my foster Dad." His voice shifted, I couldn't even tell what he was feeling anymore.
He pulled out his phone and I guess, texted his "Dad."
Amy already did the same a few minutes ago, and had her eyes locked on Edward, and has been ever since the mention of Jeff, "Ryan" whatever spending the night over here as well.
