(Diamond's POV)
I awoke to the feeling of the sun's rays shinning brightly against my eyelids. I gave a small yawn then moved my arms to wrap them around Kol. Although, I was quick to realize that Kol was no longer laying on top of me. Hm, he must've moved to the other side of the bed. With my eyes still closed, I reached over to hug him. Only to realize he wasn't there either. Where was he? I blinked my eyes open several times then slowly rose into a sitting position. I looked around my bed, but there was no sign of him. Maybe he had gone back to his room. Yeah, that had to be it.
So, I quickly rose from my bed and dashed to my closet. I looked around, for maybe ten seconds, and selected a pair of jean shorts and a green and black-striped top. I grabbed some undergarments then made a mad dash to the shower. I took a quick warm shower and brushed my teeth. Once I finished, I left my hair natural. Only passing a comb through it, and slipped on some small black heels. I was nearly tripping over my own feet, as I made my way towards Kol's room.
I reached the door and gave it three firm taps.
No response.
He couldn't still be asleep. Kol loved waking up early in the morning to mess with his siblings. Considering he had been sleeping for over a century, Kol really didn't like sleeping in that much. So, I tried again. This time adding in.
"Kol, it's me, Dia. Time to get up."
Silence.
Something didn't feel right. There was just something in the back of my head saying something was wrong. I shook it off and said a bit louder.
"Kol, come on. I'll make you breakfast. Please get up."
Nothing.
That was it. I was going in for it. I closed my eyes then turned the knob and walked in saying.
"Kol, this better not be one of your pranks, and you better be decent."
I was met once again with silence. I slowly opened my eyes and realized the room was empty. The door to his bathroom was wide open, but I couldn't hear anything coming from inside. I moved further inside his room and began to look around in an attempt to find him. I looked inside his closet saying.
"Kol, if this is one of your pranks, you're not funny. Come on. Let's go downstairs, so I can make us some breakfast. I promise to play with you later."
No response.
That nagging feeling only seemed to become more prominent. Something wasn't right. Something was ... missing???
I scratched the back of my head in confusion. Then I came to the conclusion that maybe he was already downstairs eating, and I was up here talking to myself like a crazy person. I made my way out of his room and speed-walked down the hallway. I carefully went down the grand staircase and dashed towards the kitchen.
Before I could make it to the door, it was thrown open and there stood Klaus in front of me. I took a quick step back to let him through, but he merely stood there and glared at me. I knew that even though I hadn't been at fault last night. I would have to apologize to him. Just to keep him content and not trying to slaughter me. It was better to have the most dangerous hybrid in the world as a friend rather than an enemy. So, I carefully began.
"Klaus, about last night. I ... I'm ... I'm sorry. You've been really kind to me in letting me stay here, among other things, and I ... well ... I shouldn't have yelled at you. Much less threatened you. B-B-B ... But you have to try to see it from my point of view too. I ... I really care about Kol ... a-a-and you ... you wanted to take him away from me. If something were to happen to him, I don't know ... I don't even want to think what I'd ... Please, accept my apology. I am, honest to God, really sorry. I meant no disrespect."
