25: Good Bye

Chase's grip instantly tightened on me and he growled at Shane.

"Angel?" he questioned.

"Yes, Shane?" I asked slowly getting out of Chase's grasp.

"Why?" he asked looking anywhere but me.

"Look Shane, nothing happened" I said getting up from the bed. I was still in my jeans and tank-top that I was wearing yesterday.

"What do you mean nothing happened? You are with Chase in my bed!"

"Look Shane, I can explain!"

"I don't need explaining" he spat "Angel, I know you are going to leave. Good bye" he said and sat his ring down on the bed side table and slammed the door shut behind him.

I sighed, Chase came and joined me "I'll grab your things" he said and took a step forwards.

"No." I said without hesitation. He stopped abruptly and looked back at me "what?" he asked.

"Please leave" I said.

"What? Angel, he dosn't want you. I love you. I have loved you more then he ever did!"

"I. Don't. Care. Leave." I said.

"I'm not leaving you Angel"

"Well I am not moving"

"Angel if I leave, I will not come back" he said.

"Chase, please go." I said.

"Fine" he said and stormed out of the room, slamming the door behind him.

I sighed and walked to the dresser. I pulled out a new pair of jeans and a simple black tube top that went just above my belly button. I brushed my hair and did my make-up.

I know what I had to do and I'm going to look good doing it.

I walked out of the room and downstairs. I heard banging and clattering. I walked to the kitchen and Shane and Chase were fighting. No big surprise. I left them when Chase threw Shane into a wall.

I walked down to Jake's door. I hesitated for a minute but opened the door and walked in. He was sitting on his bed, taking off his shoes. He was wearing black pants and a white button up T-shirt with a black tie. He glanced up at me when I walked in.

"Hello Angel" he said.

"Hey Jake" I said and sat down in his chair.

"So whats all the noise out there about?" he asked.

"Oh well Chase decided to stop by"

"Ah" he said nodding his head.

"Jake?"

"Yes, Angel"

"I'm going to kill myself. How should I do it?" I asked.

"Wait. What!?!" he said and got up and walked over to me.

"I. Am. Going. To Kill. Myself" I said slowly.

He rolled his eyes "I know, but why?"

I sighed and looked away "I just, I'm tired of being passed from one person to the next. My Mom and dad, then my mom, then my uncle, then You and Shane, then Dustin, then Chase and back with you guys"

"Angel, don't do this. Shane loves loves you" he said.

"Jake, Shane caught me in bed with Chase....."

"Oh" he said surprised.

"But nothing was happening. He wouldn't listen to me. After you guys left, I took a nap and some curled up next to me and put me in their arms. I thought it was Shane but it was Chase and Shane came bursting into the door" I said. I could almost feel the tears burning my eyes.

"Oh. Well Angel, that is still not the way! We will work this out!"

"No, it had already been worked out. Shane 'gave' me to Chase" I said simply.

"Oh Angel. I don't know what to say" he said and ran a hand threw his hair.

"Say, how I should kill myself"

"Angel, I am not going to tell you how to kill yourself! I have already almost killed you once!It will not happen again! I am going to get Shane" he said and started taking steps towards the door.

I jumped up and grabbed his arm "no, don't tell him. Just forget it Jake, I'll do it myself" I said.

"Angel, don't do it. Please" he begged.

Instead of answering him, I kissed him sweetly on the lips. He wrapped his hands on my waist.

"What was that for?" he asked.

"Just something I wanted to do before, you know" I said.

"Angel, stay with me" he said.

I smiled up at him and almost answered but the door was slammed open. Chase and Shane storming into the room. I knew they were going to say mean things to me. I didn't realize it but I clutched onto Jake's shirt.

"So, it's too bad you cheated on me with one person but now two!?!" Shane yelled at me.

He was right.

"Angel, come with me" Chase said. He sounded like he was demanding a dog.

I looked up at Jake who still kept his arms around me, as if to shield their words, but it didn't help. I leaned up and kissed Jake one last time. Then I whispered "good bye Jake. I'll miss you" I said and unwrapped his arms from around me. His body sagged because he knew what I was doing. I walked past Shane and Chase who were starring daggers at me and Jake. I walked back into the kitchen.

I heard Shane show up behind me "No Angel don't do it" he said.

I ignored him and grabbed the big butchers knife from the drawer. I held it to my stomach. I felt a slight prick from the blades sharpness.

Chase came into the room "Angel, what are you doing!?!" he said frantically.

"I'm ending it" I said simply and dug the knife deep into my stomach. I fell to the floor and I heard Shane scream 'noooooo' but it was getting distant. I saw a far away image of Shanes tear streaked face holding me in his arms.

I sighed and tried to remember all the good times in my life.

Then the darkness, took over me.
