I appeared in the middle of what appeared to be some sort of bedroom. It was quite small though, so it was more like a dorm.

At first I wasn't sure exactly where I was, but then it all came to my head. I was at Northwood High School. This was Dorm 301, and I was roommates with a guy named Ed Griffon.

Murumuru must've given me a sort of stepping stone set of memories. I guess she really did know what she was doing, unlike how my father described her.

I looked around and saw that even though it was small, Ed seemed to had organized the room to almost be roomy. He had even got a little gaming setup to the side, which was pretty cool.

I could see him asleep in his bed. I looked at the clock and saw that it was only about 5:00 AM.

I decided to go out and buy some breakfast, using the money that I now somehow had in my wallet. Had Murumuru really set this all up for me? Maybe it was all part of how her portal worked. I was probably just thinking about it too much.

I ended up outside of a fast-food restaurant that was just North of the campus.

"So, this is normal food." I said under my breath.

I purchased a breakfast platter and took a seat. It seemed like it was peaceful out, so I sat by a window and gazed outside at the beautiful morning sky.

"Thanks Murumuru." I said quietly.

And that's when I saw her. The first and only girl I would ever truly love.

I saw her walking down the sidewalk, outside the restaurant. She had short black hair that reached a little passed her chin and dark brown eyes. She wore a pair of thick glasses and she was wearing a school uniform, the same one for the school that I was supposed to go to. And she was walking into the building.

My heart skipped a beat. I had to talk to her.

However, my phone suddenly buzzed and made a static sound. I don't know why, but that sound, it gave chills. I felt almost dread to pick it up.

I did pick it up and look at why it had buzzed. There were some simple words saved on a typing spot, like...a Diary!

[8/23/20XX]
Someone inside this restaurant is a [Diary Holder]. I should probably leave.

It looked as if I was the one who wrote it, but I knew that I didn't. And why would I leave if there was another user? And how could there be another user? Murumuru had told me that it was MY [Diary]. I didn't think she had given them to anyone else. Was I in danger? All these questions rushed through my head at once.

I had been staring at my phone and thinking for probably a few minutes, so I didn't realize that someone was standing next to me. I looked up and saw that it was the girl who had just entered the building. Why did she come to me though? Things were getting weirder and weirder.

"Excuse me, are you ok?" She asked with an extremely sweet smile.

I felt butterflies in my stomach when she did this and could barely speak. "I-I uh, yeah."

"Well, you looked frightened, so I decided to walk over and see if you were alright." She explained.

"Oh uh, thanks." I replied. "I'm Ren."

"I'm Heather, nice to meet you." She smiled again, but now that I noticed, it seemed a bit forced.

Then it occurred to me that when she walked in was when my [Diary] buzzed. Was she this [Diary Holder] that I should be worried about? If another holder was a threat to my life, then I probably shouldn't say anything to her.

"Would you like to walk to school with me? I know you're new and may want to have someone help you find your way around." She asked.

I had to play it cool now. If she was a [Diary Holder], then I would need to keep any suspicion away from me for whatever reason. Maybe I shouldn't have listened to Murumuru. Maybe my father was right about her.

"Yeah, I'll walk with you." I replied calmly.

She smiled and held her hand out. "Then come on before we're late."

I followed her out of the restaurant and towards the school. From what she told me as she walked, she was the student council president and a straight A student. She was even taking 5 online college classes, and acing them too! She was an overachiever if I ever saw one.

Along with that, she told me that she was looking for a Vice President for her duties. And as much as I was tempted to volunteer to do that, I couldn't until I knew what all this [Diary] nonsense was.

Now, unlike her forced smile from a few minutes ago, Heather's smile seemed genuine. Perhaps I was wrong, or she was just happy. I honestly had no idea what to think.

I just had to play along for now.
