I licked my lips. I could smell it even though it was hidden from view. I loved the smell, the taste, and the feel of blood. Why wouldn't I? I'm half vampire.~
New town, new blood. I always liked moving. Staying in one place made me uncomfortable. I needed new... selection.
I didn't need blood since I was half human, but I wanted it. I loved the warmth of it smudged on my lips and it's thickness sliding easily down my throat. I loved the thrill of my fangs puncturing that thin layer of skin and the blood gushing out.
Drinking blood was like a part of me. A beastly chunk of my soul I have to admit, but it was a section all the same. I absolutely loved it.
"Please introduce yourself to the class, Mr. Sullivan." The teacher said to me. She was too thin to take any good blood from.
I drunk in the sight of my healthy new buffet. I had a fairly large amount of options.
I smiled and stood up. "I'm Finley Sullivan. Nice to meet all of you." I introduced to my new class.
I then sat back down into my seat. The class then resumed.
"Psst!" I turned my head to the noise. "Hi, Finley. I'm Marilyn! I can help you around school if you need." A girl beside me smiled.
I glanced down at her healthy neck and smiled back. "Yeah." My eyes flicked back to her freckled face. "I'd like that, Marilyn. Thanks."
Her dark eyes sparkled like green emeralds stuck in the earth. "No problemo." She whispered.
I looked at her hair. It was thick and ended just at her shoulders. Hmm, I would have to push her hair back to get to her neck, but that's alright.
My smile grew.
I liked a challenge.

"Hey dude, could you bring this to Mr. Handon?" A random student caught me in the hallway and tried to hand me a clipboard.
He had an odd look in his eye and nervous twitch. His blood was obviously too tainted for me to take.
"I'm sorry, I-" "C'mon dude! I'm in a rush!" He insisted as he shifted his weight from foot to foot.
I wrinkled my nose. Did I really have to deal with this on my first day of school? On my lunch no less?
I opened my mouth to firmly reject him but I saw a shimmer of dark red stop beside me.
"He's new here. He doesn't know where Mr. Handon is. I'll take it." Marilyn appeared. The boy looked relieved. "Thanks dudette!" He smiled as he gave her the clipboard then ran off.
I looked down at her. She was shorter than me, but not by that much. She was tall enough for me to just lean down a bit and sink my teeth into her neck.
I looked around. A few straggling students were loitering in the hallways. I frowned. I couldn't have witnesses.
"Thanks." I muttered. "It's what friends do." She smiled up at me.
I caught her oblivious gaze with my own. Her expression looked so innocent and pure. It was too kind for a devil like me to look upon, but I couldn't help but study her.
"Marilyn..." I muttered as I slipped my hand on the side of her face. I wonder how her blood tasted. Was it sweeter than other girls'?
Her eyes widened. "Yeah?" She whispered.
