Third POV

In the middle of Florence, a meeting was held between two rival mafias, involving The Dantes & The Salvatores.

This was a meeting that would decide the future.

Now believe it or not, the Dantes and Salvatores weren't always fighting. They were family friends since they had begun their business. As always good things, even partnerships, do come to an end. Happiness is traded with cold-hearted jealousy, greed and the most heartbreaking, DEATH.

The feud started 30 years back when Ottavio, the brother and right hand of Francesco Salvatore, had his fiancée killed. Although it was a mystery to who really killed his soon to be wife, all fingers pointed to Tony. And revenge was to be owned.

There was just one problem.

Tony wasn't blood related to the Dante Mafia, but since he worked for them it translated into the same thing.

Paolo Dante, who is head of the Dante Mafia, had no problem turning in Tony to Ottavio. He understood that Tony had broken the code and wouldn't sacrifice his bond with Francesco and his family. But snakes are always within the groups and so began a trail of lies.

Tony was a snake who sneaked his way out of death by saying that it was Paolo's father who had ordered the death. And so Ottavio didn't hesitate to kill Paolo's mother.

Eye for an eye.

And till this day countless deaths have taken place which have left both Mafias to mourn. But enough had they grieved for a lifetime so it was time to find peace.
