"Ming Kai, are you in there?" Terry asked.

Blood quickly drained from Ming Kai's face, and he started to panic. Of all the situations that they could have ended up with...why this!?

And it's all because of this guy! If only he didn't drag him into the cubicle by force, they would have been able to avoid this nightmare of a predicament.

Was there even a need to lock themselves in the first place?

Ming Kai's mind scrambled for a way out. If he replied, Terry would most likely wait for him outside the toilet, which would be bad because he wasn't Criss Angel nor David Copperfield. He wouldn't be able to explain the sudden appearance of another guy walking out of the cubicle with him.

He also didn't have the option of remaining silent for too long either. Doing so would just spark suspicions.

"You've got the wrong person." Chen Tian Lin replied unexpectedly.

"Oh...sorry about that." Terry apologised immediately. He was quite sure that Ming Kai went out of the hall, and the only places that this hallway led to were the restroom and the exit to the exterior of the building. Seeing as how Ming Kai wasn't in the toilet, Terry promptly made his way out of the place.

Ming Kai stared strangely at Chen Tian Lin who helped resolved his current crisis, wondering if he should even thank him. Then again, the last thing he wanted to do was to thank the person who brought him into this mess in the first place.

Chen Tian Lin met his gaze, then went back to the topic before they were so rudely interrupted.

"I mentioned that I saw your application, but the fact that you were selected is completely unrelated to me."

"Huh?" Ming Kai couldn't believe his ears.

"I wouldn't care to meddle with the application of an undergraduate. The fact that you impressed the hiring manager responsible has nothing to do with me. At least have some confidence in yourself."

Ming Kai was stunned beyond belief. Did this guy just...said something nice to him? Furthermore, with an expression that obviously shouldn't belong to a jerk like him. Pigs were probably flying outside the building right now, maybe he should check it out.

Upon hearing that his successful application into the company was the result of his own effort, Ming Kai's expression relaxed a little. Who knew that this bastard had an unexpectedly nice side to him. Seeing the look of relief in his eyes, Chen Tian Lin broke into a grin and moved closer still.

"What's with that look? I can be nice too, you know."

Almost immediately, Ming Kai regretted that such a thought even crossed his mind. Who was he kidding?

"If even a person like you can consider himself 'nice', then the word 'scumbag' will lose all its meaning." Ming Kai spat back at him, and shoved him aside as he tried to make his way out of the cubicle.

Chen Tian Lin swiftly grabbed and pinned both his hands against the door, his legs cleverly placed between Ming Kai's own, preventing him from attempting anything untoward to his vulnerable areas in such close quarters.

"Such comments towards a Managing Director are punishable, you know? Surely you don't think I'm going to let you off easy." Even as he spoke, Chen Tian Lin rubbed his own member against Ming Kai's, watching him struggle in futility.

"I don't want to hear that from someone who thinks with his crotch!" Ming Kai employed the full strength of his arms in resistance, and it seems as though he might just make it.

However, at that critical juncture, Chen Tian Lin shot his head forward without warning. Like a lamprey latching on to its victim, he sucked Ming Kai's neck with such force that it actually began to hurt. His mouth released with pop sound, leaving a red, swollen hickey that was obvious in plain sight. Furthermore, Chen Tian Lin didn't intend to stop there.

A minute worth of struggle later, Ming Kai had a total of three hickeys on him, all of which were in dangerously revealing locations. Using all the strength he had, Ming Kai twisted his hands free of Chen Tian Lin's grip and fumbled for the latch.

The door swung open and Ming Kai immediately put some distance between them, eyes burning with fury and resentment as he glared at the fucked-up asshole, who was currently making this lip-smacking expression like he had just gotten the best meal of his life.

Not wanting to stay here with that pervert any longer, Ming Kai shot out of the restroom and made his way back to the reception area post-haste.

The function was nearing the end. A few unsatisfied souls lingered around the reception area in hopes of getting their fill from buffet, or what was left of it.

Ming Kai buttoned his shirt collar all the way up and fastened his tie. Thank heavens that he miraculously found it in his suitcase even though he had no idea when or how or why it was in there in the first place.

He just hoped that this was enough to cover those embarrassing red spots all over his neck.

Ming Kai straightened himself one last time before re-entering the area, only to feel a pat on his shoulders. Because of what happened earlier, Ming Kai was in a state of heightened tension, so his flight-or-fight response kicked into high gear. He turned around and slapped away the hand by reflex, only to find himself staring at the shocked face of his supervisor, Choi Mei Lin.

"Ah! I'm so sorry...I didn't mean to do it." Ming Kai immediately mumbled an apology and cursed himself for overreacting.

"That was quite the overreaction. Something happened?" She asked while rubbing away the sting from his slap.

"Something happened? You bet something happened! Your young and prodigious Managing Director, also known as the soon-to-be President Dogshit trapped me in a cubicle and rubbed his DICK up MY DICK while giving me hickeys all over the place!" He screamed in his head. Not like he could say that out load in front of his boss.

"N...no. It's just that I hurt my shoulders a while ago and you accidentally touched a sensitive spot." Ming Kai lied through his teeth while pretending to massage the injured area.

Choi Mei Lin nodded with understanding and told him to take care of himself. As soon as she left, Ming Kai spotted a figure walking briskly up to him.

"Hey! Where have you been? I couldn't find you anywhere." Terry looked impatient and a little out of breath. He saw that Ming Kai had pulled a tie out of nowhere and threw him a questioning look.

"What's with the sudden change in attire?" he asked curiously.

"Just felt like it." Ming Kai casually shrugged.

"Using that as an excuse to cover you hickey some girl gave you when I was looking away? Good try, but not good enough." Terry pointed at the portion of the red mark which the shirt collar failed to hide completely.

"I caught you red-handed, you hypocrite. So which girl was it?" Terry smirked, but within that playful teasing carried a hint of jealously and dissatisfaction.

"Don't talk nonsense. Who would think of giving someone a hickey in a company function? Don't be jealous of an insect." He ruffled Terry's hair like in an effort to make him stop pouting.

Yeah. An insect called Chen Tian Lin.
