Too many locks, not enough keys -Sarah Dressen
I Parked out side the school the old Victorian building looked exactly the same as I left 5 years ago, I built the courage to leave my car but I could not do it I was terrified of what I might discover, I'm scared everything would come flooding back to me. I took a deep 'come on Silvia it's now or never' I said out loud I opened the door of my range rover and walked to the rusty old wooden door a cold gush swept over my body as I pushed it open it creaked and slammed against the wall, my body shaking upon my trembling feet. I took a step inside.
I was immediately greeted by my head teacher mrs. Turner and other people I didn't recognise they must be new, she looked so excited to see me too think she hated my guts 5 years ago was an understatement. 'Silvia reed it's a pleasure to have you here' she said shaking my hand, I forced a smile I felt physically sick I knew I wasn't ready for this.
'Come on let me take you too the staff room before the reporters come' she said leading the way through the all so familiar corridor.
I walked in to the staff room following mrs turner and there he was the man I dreaded to see, I felt like my heart was racing like all of a sudden time stopped and my feet couldn't move. His old frightening eyes starred back at me his cold eyes where a deep blue, his face was mostly hidden back by his glasses. he then smiled his wrinkles letting me see his every expression, as if there wasn't other people surrounding us, and something deep inside me knew that he was hiding some thing.
I looked down to his hand and he still held that old yellow crumbly paper that he's had for years.
I turned away from him, I didn't understand why I was so scared of him just everything about him. I took a deep breath, I couldn't let him get to me
Mrs. Turner then introduced me to everybody, even though some of the teachers I already knew.
they were all surrounding me asking me about my career and how proud they were of me. To think that half of the teachers hated me. But I couldn't stop looking toward the corner of the room were he sat.
The bell rang signalling, the start of the lesson and all the teachers scattered out wishing me good luck on there way out, mrs. Turner handed me my timetable with what lesson I will be helping out with.
I turned around to leave the staff room to go to the first lesson.
'Well, look who it is' I knew that voice very well, he had a toneless voice that didn't express any emotion, my heart was beating fast I was absolutely terrified and I think terrified is an understatement
'Mr Silias' I spoke my words coming out wobbly I refused to turn around
'Silvia' he said my name very carefully pronouncing every letter, making me tremble from my own name
'I didn't expect to see you , after all these years' he spoke. I physically couldn't find the words to reply he walked next to me putting his hand on my shoulder, my whole body froze, I had goosebumps.
'What? cats got your tongue' he said laughing a manical loud laugh as he walked out of the room.
I quickly pulled myself together and I knew I wasn't going to let him get to me.
Heeeeeeeey!
