My new life in a nutshell

I have always enjoyed stuffing my nose in between the pages of those typical teenage romance novels where the quiet, self-conscious female lead was wooed oh-so easily by the hot and mysterious new guy who, at first, was completely oblivious to the fact that he indeed was hot and quite mysterious, and was secretly crushing hard on that mouse of a girl but never showed any sign of his love for her until the very day he becomes heroic and saves her from a traumatic event that takes place mid-novel and the duo inevitably begin dating as they both finally realize their one true love has been in front of them the entire time.

Yeah, those stories.

Given my complete lack of social skills and fashion, along with my general awkwardness, I’d always dreamt of having my world flipped upside down like the girls in the books by someone like Edward Cullen or Christian Grey walking into my life. After taking a moment to cry over a good novel I’d just finished, I’d always find myself imagining how much better my life would be if only something dramatically exciting had ever happened. For nearly eighteen years I’d been fantasizing something - anything - to suddenly occur that would disintegrate the boring air that always seemed to travel around me. And yet, not a single soul from the heavenly sky decided to give my desperate - possibly delirious - prayers an answer.

Until today, that is.

Well, I guess that’s a bit dramatic. I mean sure, being told you were the heir to some large vampiric society and that you must leave your home and family immediately with the possibility of never coming back was something of the dramatics category. Still, the reality of the situation hadn’t hit me full on until I was sitting on a jet, stuck between two very terrifying, very pale people with a brown paper bag clutched between my sweating palms.

But I'm getting ahead of myself. My first time on a plane can wait. As for my first encounter with a vampire, however...

A/N: This is going to be my first book on Wattpad, and shall be the only story I will solely dedicate all my thoughts and free time to. Support is my greatest motivation, so please comment, rate and vote! Criticism is welcomed, though please be sure to be constructive about it :) Also, "Heir of Nosferatu" is not the official title yet, but it was the first thing that came to mind. I hope you enjoy! :)
