From far and near
You still hear
When I shed my tears
You wipe my face
With your gentle hand
Then you pull me close and say
"My daughter all will be fine"
In your loving arms I feel safe
Safe from my fears
That soothing feeling
Of being content overwhelms me
Completely
Fully
It makes me smile
To have someone like you
Who loves me completely
Someone who stays with me
Through the pain
The hurt
The anger
The sadness
You stay with me lord
You cry when I cry
But you still hold me
No matter how far away I get from you
You are always there lord
In my heart
In my soul
