"Geez.. For a second I thought you were gone" A-con sighed heavily in relief but then kindly smiled towards Kayde who was straightening herself to a sitting position, and smiled back at him saying "Well.. I was for a second"
"Um.. You two.. Know eachother?" Jessie was curiously asking and watched how A-con stood up, and held out his hand for Kayde to help her get up, and she gladly took his hand and got up.
"Yeah.. Our parents knew each other, so that's how we became friends" Kayde smiled at Jessie as if nothing terrible had happened to her at all.
To Jessie, it slowly reached to a point where her smiles began to freak her out.
"We should get going" A-con commented, and got everyones eyes except for Noras on him.
"Yeah, you're right" Jessie said as she wrapped Noras arm around her neck, and held her waist for support and slowly carried her up on her feet, just like the same positon as before, while Kayde simply nod a yes in agreement. But unfortunately cause of the damned birdcage, they had no other choices but to walk all the way back instead of running.
"Can't you do something about her?" Jessie mumbled while they've just walked out of the laboratory room, back to those empty, and grey corridors that seemed so endless. It made her feel like she has lost her tracks.
No reply.
A-con was being too quiet.. He was looking down at his hand, wishing he was never born like this. The faded purple mark on his wrist, was the symbol of the gifted powers he was born with. It was supposed to be a power of blessings, but from his point of view it was the opposite. A curse, was what he called it. It might not seem like it, but he hated ever single bit of it. And the worst part of it, it wasn't used for saving lives.. It was rather used to kill and rotten a life.
He was being quiet, too quiet as he watched his wrist and how slowly the faded purple symbol on his wrist changed it's shape. It is said, if you are born with such powers, and the mark changes. It means it has been upgraded/leveled up.
(Authors Note: His symbol right now looks like the one in the media)
Since A-con was walking in-between Kayde and Jessie. Kayde looked at Jessie as he was still lost, glaring at his new symbol with his head down. Kayde got her attention and slowly nod a no with a sad face expression.
"You guys.." A-con said and stopped walking in the midway of the corridors.
"Huh?" The girls curiously stopped walking in their tracks, and turned back around to look at him.
"Go on ahead without me.. I've got something left to do, I'll catch up with you two later. Take care!!" A-con said with zero emotion, turning 180 degrees around facing the opposite way he was supposed to go and ran off, leaving the girls there alone by themselves.
"What's with him?" Jessie mumbled while watching how he quickly disappeard into.. gas?
Is he... going after the book? Kayde was worriedly thinking to herself, having a bad feeling in her gut as if something bad will happen..

The godfather was unable to keep up with her movements just continuing to only block so he was betting on the fact that by using so much strength at the same time, she would eventually lose her energy.
