A/N: Set two years before prolong Kellin is living in the states and is just starting college at Southern Oregon Art Academy where he's studying illustration because he wants to make comic books.

It's late on the first day of college, it had been a long day of learning about courses and meeting teachers, I'd be lying if I said I wasn't super great full to be home in my crap apartment with my loser of a roommate and best friend Alex Gaskarth. (He knows Alex because he was looking at SOAA at the same time as Kellin when he was a junior. Alex is for England.)
"Mate, this girl is beautiful. And she says she has this friend who'd be right for you." Alex says flipping his dark brown hair from his eyes as he falls onto our cheap old sofa. I chuckle shaking my head allowing for pieces of its inky strands to fall into my eyes, "What's your deal with trying to set me up. I'm fine." I say for what feels like the millionth time tonight as I push the hair out of eyes.
"Come on, Kellin! One date with his bloke and Ame and I and I'll leave you be about it. Please!" Alex whines his accent thicker then normal.
"Fine," I say giving in, "one date."
"Cool! We're gonna have dinner at the school café get dressed!" He pressures. I sigh leaving my place on the couch and walking the short distance down the hall to my room, once there I changed out of my paint covered sweats into skinny jeans and a red v-neck tee shirt with of course a black knit beanie and bright red Toms. Feeling cute I left my messy room and meet Alex at our door, he looked nice in ripped light wash jeans, a plan white tee shirt, and Converse low tops.
"Bloody hell you look smart, Mate. I'm sure he'll like you." Alex complimented as we exited the apartment and walked out to the lot were both our cars sat.
"Mine, yeah?" I asked flashing the keys, he nodded and fallowed me over to my beat up black and white Honda monstrosity that I loved so much.*Time Skip Café*
It wasn't long before we arrived at our campus café and I pulled into an open space outside the empty restaurant. I checked the clock to see it was only seven and was a bit confused by the lack of patrons but fallowed Alex anyway as he led me inside. Almost instantly I got nervous I'd only ever been on one or two dates none of which ended in any magical moment or me falling head over hills for a stranger but as we rounded a counter and a very brightly dressed girl came into view that faded away. The slender, very pale, girl gave off a sense of calmness instantly welcoming me into her circle it seemed. She smiled at me and turned to Alex kissing his check which required a bit of effort on her part because he was so much taller then her even in her very chunky boots.
"Hiya! I'm Amethyst Quartz, you must be Kellin, yeah?" She said with a smile. I nodded looking down at my feet which resulted in me getting slapped, "Be proud! You're too cute to be the shy!" She yelled taking my arm and leading me to a table in the dimly lit room. Siting in one of the four chairs was a tall, curly brown haired man with plenty of tattoos and a very casual feel about him. His appearance matched his demeanor, he wore ripped jeans, a sleeveless tank top, and heavy boots. He stood up as Ame released my arm now surely bruised by her firm grip, "Kellin, meet my Old Mate Oliver. Oli Kellin!" The girl cheered.
" 'Ello, Kellin. I'm Oli Sykes. Ame has told me lovely things 'bout you." Said the very accidented man as he pulled out my chair for me. I blushed having a seat as Ame did the same for Alex, which caused me to give them a strange look.
"Ame's brother is gender fluid and thought Ame that gender roles shouldn't apply so we trade off on the gentlemenly thing. Tonight's her night." Alex explained skimming a menu. I nodded doing the same, it wasn't long before a waiter appear and took our drink orders, "So how long have you two been together?" I asked the fill the silence. Ame smiled up at Alex before answering, "Three going on four years. He's a sweet heart really." She told me which caused Alex to blush only a bit before he smiled.
"And," Amethyst continued, "I've known Oli for about twelve years now, we were childhood neighbors."
"Neat! Did you two travel over together?" I asked as our drinks arrived and our orders were taken.
"No, Ame and Alexander came 'round and invited me to visit. I've been staying in Ame's spare room, then she started telling me about Alexander's cute friend and I just had to come meet you myself." Oli cut in making me blush and turn my attention to my meal of soup and bread.
"And! Ally is always talking about how sweet you are so I figured maybe you could put a little good in this bloody fuck. So here we are!" Amethyst told me before picking up some conversation with Alex and before long it was nine thirty and I'd talked to Oli. As we were leaving he stopped and took my hand writing on the palm, "Ring me sometime, handsome." He whispered before fallowing Ame to her car. Once inside my own I turned to Alex, "I really like him."
