>>>>Deacon's POV<<<<

"I've checked the entire first floor without a sight of her." Logan said.

His face was cover in black soot, his eyes watery and red.

"The fire's been started on the second floor." He added.

"She's on the third." I said, "she's up there where that window with the arch is."

He sighed a slight sigh of relief. Then got serious once more. "I'll go in after her."

I shook my head no.

"It's too risky, I could lose you guys in the attempt, and I won't hurt her by bringing her through the floor with fire." I answered, I knew it was my soon to be Alpha blood that had made the decision.

Had it been the old me I would have spared any man in the attempt to get my mate out without even thinking about the possible dangers it could pose against her as well.

I was just about to give my orders when I suddenly heard Bell's voice in my head.

'Catch me.'

I took off faster than I've ever run before.

Fear pounded in my ears as I watched my mate, my fiancée, the mother of my unborn child, my love, my heart, my soul fall from the window.

All sound was gone, nothing else mattered.

Her small frame was falling fast and I silently prayed that I was strong enough and precise enough to catch her.

And just like that she made contact with me.

The impact was rough and I know I heard more than one bone break, wether it was mine or hers was unknown at the moment.

My back hit the ground harshly and I could see figures closing in on us but my main concern was solely on her.

I laid her gently on the grass and began looking her over.

Streaks of grey and black touched her skin from the smoke, her face was thin and she had dark purple circles forming under her eyes. I picked up her tiny hands and saw how torn up they were, proof that she was willing to do anything to get back to me.

I kissed her blood stained palms and couldn't fight back the few tears that escaped me.

I noticed her chest rise and fall and knew she was alive, I smiled a little then I picked her up.

I cradled her against my chest like a newborn infant.

"Go get the car!" Gavin shouted.

He walked closer to quietly informed me, "they've all been dealt with."

I nodded my understanding.

I knew none of the hunters were left, Gavin and the trackers had made sure that they killed everyone involved. A harsh decision I had to make in order to insure our safety.

Hunters are vengeful and they would never let us live in peace had we let them live.

We got into the large SUV and A couple of trackers helped Bell and I get cleaned up. I wasn't taking anymore chances, I was getting my mate and my pack members out of this god forsaken state and back home as quickly as possible.

Gavin had spoken to Gage and informed him of everything the night before, and Gage had arranged for us to have a private plane to fly home on.

Once we pulled up to the plane Logan got out and opened our door, he tried to help me with Bell but I wasn't letting go of her for even the slightest second.

When I got us out of the vehicle she whimpered a little and I noticed her arms wrap around her belly.

I silently prayed that she and the baby were fine and unharmed.

We all got seated in the plane and took off shortly.

I argued with the stewardess about putting Bell in her own seat and buckling her up, I won out in the end

Without any layovers we arrived back in town at just under 3hours.

Even though everyone was anxious to see us my main concern was the well being of my mate and unborn child.

I went home and had Dr, Brewsker come over.

Both Dr. Brewsker and his wife showed up, a couple of travel sized machines and medical bags in hand.

"She should be at the hospital." He said concerned.

"I want her to be comfortable, she's been away from home for too long." I answered.

He checked her vitals and assessed her main scratches and cuts as well as checked for anything broken or fractured. She checked on the baby.

I left the room while they worked, I wanted to give my Bell a little privacy, even if she was unconscious.

I asked that no one come over to the house unless I called them, and thankfully everyone was respecting my wishes.

I went into the kitchen and decided to make Bell something to eat, I don't know when the last time she ate was, and if it was even enough for a pregnant woman.

I made her two grilled cheese sandwiches and warmed up a can of tomato soup.

Just as the second sandwich was finishing up the doctors emerged from the bedroom.

"Her right wrist is broken as is her right shin, her right hip is severely bruised and she is slightly dehydrated. Make sure she gets lots of liquid and rest and keep her weight on the left side." He said. "I've also stitched her hands and feet, you'll want to change her bandages twice a day until the bleeding stops. As a lycanthrope she will heal quicker than a human but some of her injures will still hurt and take time. Be patient."

I nodded as I remembered when she fell from the window and I caught her, her right side of her body had hit me and the ground while her left side was untouched.

"The baby is perfectly fine. No harm has been done what so ever, just make sure she eats and make sure she takes these." She said as she handed me two bottles.

One was a prenatal vitamin and the other ones label said it was for nausea.

"Here is a prescription for a pregnancy safe pain medication as well." He said. "She was coming around just now."

I thanked them and walked them out.

I put the food, medicine and vitamins, and a tall glass of water on a tray and walked into the bedroom.

I sat on the edge of our bed and took her left hand in mine.

The doctor had bandaged her palms and I saw her right wrist laying on the bed with a mini hand cast.

"D-Deacon."

Her voice was hoarse and dry.

"Hello my love." I said as softly as I could. "Here, let me help you drink some water."

She nodded.

I gently lifted her so she was now in a sitting position and I brought the straw to her lips. She drank greedily and it broke my heart to watch her, this was a clear sign they weren't giving her enough water and food.

"Are you hungry my love?" I asked trying to hide my clear sadness. She shook her head no.

"Would you like to see your parents?" I asked.

She nodded her head yes, "but first, could you just hold me?" She asked weakly.

I smiled at her.

I got into the bed and sat down next to her, I pulled her body to mine and kissed her hair and then her forehead, by the time I got to her mouth she was crying.

"What's wrong my love?" I asked.

"I missed you so much." She cried out.
