Chapter 5

It had just turned Autumn half term and Amber and I had become really close friends with Charlie and Leo since the beginning of term, we all did everything together, as much as we both wanted to be with Charlie and Leo we knew that right now it could complicate things and both of us didn't want to lose them as friends, so we kept our feelings to ourselves, and each other of course. There was a party and Evie Taylor's house tonight, she was the most popular girl in our entire school and everyone was invited, except from me and Amber.Great, Leo and Charlie were supposed to be going though and they told us that we could go with them, Amber was still trying to convince me to go, I was so nervous about it, I mean there would be loads of people, and it would mean having to dress up and that makes me nervous as hell anyway, "Leah come onnnnn it will be fine, we'll be with the boys and they'll make sure we're okaay you know that, plussss you'll look stunning and Charlie won't be able to take his eyes of you" she tried to convince me, I looked up at her still nervous before I slowly nodded my head giving in, "YAYYY" she screamed, "let's get ready come on"
Coincidently we'd been shopping earlier and had brought some new dresses for the New year party my mum and stepdad were having in a few weeks so we had them to wear tonight, Amber had a cute black sparkly skater dress which she paired with some black heels, she curled her hair and did some smoky makeup and was ready, I was wearing a nude pink dress which I pared with some white heels I did some neutral makeup and straightened my hair, we were both ready, Charlie and Leo were going to pick us up in about half and hour so we just sat and waited, finishing the touches to our outfit and our makeup, I squirted some perfume on the both of us and then Leo and Charlie walked to our door,
"Hey Cutie, you look gorgeous" Leo said as he linked Ambers arm and walked forward with her, their friendship was like this, I don't know how she copes though, I would actually pass out if Charlie acted like that with me,
"Hey Leah, you look...really pretty" Charlie said, he scratched the back of his head almost looking nervous, he put his hand out and held my hand, even though all of us weren't officially dating, none of us spoke to anyone else, we're in this weird place where we're not together but kind of not single either, I knew they wouldn't ever do anything to hurt me and Amber, they care too much. We walked to the party laughing at random things the whole way there, we walked up to the gate and saw the place where Evie's party was, her house is massive, it was filled with people already and music was blaring everywhere, I was kinda nervous but I guess it should be okay. I looked at Amber and smiled nervously before we all walked through the door.
