Chapter 13

Leah's POV:
Christmas was over and it was now the New Year's Eve, it was my 16th birthday yesterday's So Amber had stayed round mine.

Amber and I had suprisingly been invited to Jack wheeler in sixth forms New Years party, it couldn't be all that bad, loads of our year and the year below where going they was all tweeting about it, i rolled over on my bed to look at Amber who was probably texting Leo.

"Ughhh, we need to start getting ready" I said grouchy because I was already tired, "what why it's only half 3" she replied, "Yeaah exactly that gives us 3 hours until 6, the part starts at 7 and we've got to get something to eat and get there by half 7 to be fashionably late" I said to her, stating my reasonable case. "You are actually insane" she laughed, "but dead right too" she said more seriously, with that we both stood up, and got our party outfits that we'd hung up on my wardrobe out and put them on my bed, (the picture at the top) then we both took it turns to go to the bathroom and have a wash, and left makeup, we sat on my floor infront of my long mirror with our makeup bags and set to work with the makeup we were doing, Amber went for a kind of neutral smoked look with a red lip to finish off the look and I did a black smoky look with black and glitter winged liner and a nude lip so that I didn't over do it, we put on our outfits and squirted some perfume, Beyoncé heat for Amber and Victoria Secret Vanilla lace for me and then put on our shoes, I was wearing some sparkly heals and Amber wore some black boot heals, everything was done and we were right on time as I planned, tonight was going to be slightly awkward because obviously Amber was going to be with Leo and that meant I had to see Charlie, he hadn't really spoke to me since I called him and explained everything, it kind of upset me that I'd lost a friend but I also realised that him making me wait until he was ready for such a long time wasn't fair either, I guess if this is how it was supposed to be then I should let it happen. "Shall we get a Nando's on the way??" I asked Amber, "ooo yess, if we leave now we'll have time to eat it and then go and be at the party for half 7 maybe a little bit later" I nodded my head in agreement and walked downstairs, mum knew we was going out and that I would probably be staying round someone's house but I still wanted to leave her a note, so I wrote the Not and locked the door, tonight was going to be quite exciting, I feel like it's going to be a really good night and I don't know what it is but I have a good feeling.

We got to Nando's and walked in almost instantly getting seated thank god, it normally takes forever, we ordered our food and waited for it to come, which shockingly didn't take long either, we laughed and joked about all the 'popular kids' at the party and how cool they'd think they were and soon enough we'd finished and left, we got a bottle of water and some mints from the little Tesco express in town and then continued to walk to the party, Jack's house wasn't really big like Evie's but it definitely wasn't small either, we walked to the gate where there stood a man in a suite, he had security what the hell? He checked we was on the list before we walked in, there was people everywhere, some were drunk but then the majority where blatantly just pretending so that they looked 'cool', Amber pulled me through to a room where she said Leo would be, we walked in and it was a much quieter room, there was only a few people, most of them I knew but a couple of them didn't really look familiar, there was Leo...Charlie...Luke, dexter, Jack, and two other boys that I didn't know, one of them was reallyyyy really hot, the was quite tall and quite built but not exactly muscly, he had short-mid-ish dirty blonde hair and gorgeous hazel eyes, he was wearing a white button up shirt with some kahki shorts and some black vans, he looked really good, I wondered what his name was. "Amber! You look. Oh my god" Leo walked over to Amber and without a second thought kissed Amber and spun her around, he pulled away eventually, putting his arm around her and pointing to everyone, "Leah, Amber, this is Matt Espinosa and Carter Reynolds, Matt's Jacks cousin, he's over here from America for college and Carter is just Matts friend" Leo explained, oh my god he's American and in college! I realised I was staring and quickly turned away seeing him smile, I blushed, everyone stood up and hugged me and Amber saying hello and then Math came over, he hugged me and then pulled away, "so Leah right?" He asked, play it cool Leah play it cool!, "Yeaahh, and you're Matt??" I slightly questioned even though I knew damn well who he was, "Yeaah" he laughed a little as he said it and smiled, "might I say you look gorgeous tonight" he said smiling at me, "why thank you, you don't look to bad yourself" I said playfully, he looked down and back up again laughing before gesturing for me to sit down with him, I smiled and followed him to the sofas at the back of the room where Jack and Carter was, Amber was sat on the opposite sofa with Leo and Charlie, oh god this was going to be awkward.

(Authors note: seeeee I told yall this would be longer, tell me what you think in the comments, I had to bring Matt in because he's my baby and how could I not, plus I needed Leah's love interest type deal to be completely irrelevant to Charlie and Leondre's side of things, anyway expect drama in the next few chapters, just saying-Leah xx)
