Chapter 2

Kyran's POV

She left us and we went to the village she was talking about to find Sycilia and the kids she was talking about. Jaylen and I started to see a village come into our sights and I started to run towards it. "Kyran slow down," Jaylen yelled as he caught up to me. I stopped as we heard children laughing and playing around. There was a lot of kids running around and she didn't give us any real description of them so all we know is Sycilia.

"Sycilia," I yelled as I walked around. Jaylen did the same thing for about twenty minutes until a lady around 25 with pink hair in pigtails and light blues eyes. She wore a simple blue dress that came to her knees. It was simple but nice at the same time. "Are you Sycilia?"

"Yes I am," she said with a smile. "You two must be Jaylen and Kyran correct?"

"Yes," I told her. "How did you know that though?"

"Spark had already come by here to let me know about you two," she stated with a smile. "Follow me and I will take you to the boys." We followed Sycilia to a little house on the edge of the village. She opened the door and let us in. "Sky, Ty, and Jason come here please." Three boys came bouncing down the stairs and almost ran into us. "Boys this is Jaylen and Kyran. Jaylen and Kyran this is Sky, Ty, and Jason." Sky had tan skin with chocolate brown hair and wore grey jeans, black shirt, gold amulet with a purple amethyst, and red converse. Ty was pale skinned with chocolate brown hair as well that slightly covered his right eye. His eyes are like a burgundy red, He wore a white V-neck with grey jeans, black converse with purple shoe laces, and had a black and green headset. Jason on the other hand was a little darker than Ty but not by much. He had sandy brown hair and sky blue eyes. He wore a space suit that was various blues and oranges.

"Ms. Sycilia, where's Spark," Sky asked.

"Where's Big Sister," Jason asked as a yawn escaped from him.

"She had to go and help someone who needed her help," Jaylen spoke as he picked up Jason. "She did tell us though to look after you three. We can all be one happy family!"

"Yay! We have a family," Sky cheered as he jumped around Ty.

Spark's POV

They finally caught me and managed to put me in bindings. "You won't be escaping this time," the squid king growled. "She goes with the others for now." They knocked me out with something all I know is that it hurt like hell.

Time Skip 1 hour

When I woke I was in a cell with 6 others. "Look the new kid's finally awake," one of them said. I sat up and felt something around my neck.

"They put a damn collar on me," I yelled as I tried to get it off. One of them walked towards me. "Come near me and I'll kill all you without a second thought!" I heard whoever was walking stop dead in their tracks. "Wise idea." I noticed that as I tried to tear off the collar I had no Ender Dragon, Herobrine, or Wither characteristics or anything like that. "What the hell did they do to me?!"

"That collar is locking up your magic so that they can control you," one of them said. "The only way for it to be taken off is by a key that the king has. I wouldn't even attempt to get it kid." I stopped and looked around the cell before finally admitting defeat.

"I can't give up fighting though," I said. "Who has been here the longest?"

"I have why," one stated. "We should introduce ourselves then at least. My name is Kyle and I've been here for about three years making me 7."

"I'm Jackal, been here for 2 1/2 years and I'm 6," He said.

"I'm Scarlet and the other three are Kayla, Luna, and Chandler, the four of us have been here for probably a year. The other three have been mutes ever since we got here," she replied.

"Kyle do you know the guard rotation," I asked him.

"For the most part why," he replied.

"Those bastards can't break me that easily," I replied over confidently. "We're getting out, I don't care if the try to kill me but they almost killed the only family I have now. I can't let Herobrine down."

"Whoa, whoa, whoa, Herobrine is your father," Kyle asked.

"For the most part yes, my mother was taken away from my real father when she was pregnant with me. Herobrine injected her with DNA from him, the Ender Dragon, and Wither," I told them. "Nobody knew that she was pregnant until she was three months in. I took the DNA from three of them and when she gave birth to me six months later I had some sort of characteristics from the three and she rejected me. My father one the other hand didn't care and wished that he didn't have to hand me over to Herobrine. Herobrine made a deal with my father so that he could see me though. As long as he could find women for Herobrine, the Wither, and Ender Dragon he could see me."

"Okay that makes a little more sense now," Jackal replied. "Back to the task at hand though. We still don't have your name."

 "I'm Spark, I'm 8 and you know my background and I don't expect you guys to tell me your stories. I maybe 8 but me being part Brine I have the mental maturity of a 12 year old," I said. "Okay my plan to escape revolves around the guard rotation and when the king takes us to do experiments or anything like that. We need the key to open the cell and the key to get the collars off of anyone who has it."

"I know how to lock pick," the voice was a little raspy and didn't belong to Kyle, Jackal, or Scarlet. "I'm Kayla by the way." She walked over to me and looked at the collar. "I just need a knife and bobby pin." I pulled a knife out of a rip in my jeans that apparently they squid didn't check.

"I was always taught to be prepared for the worst," I stated as I handed Kayla the knife. "As for the bobby pin I don't have that but will a needle work?"

"Should I don't see why it wouldn't," she replied as I pulled a needle that was meant for killing silently or training Sky how to use them. She grabbed them and started to pick the lock. After a few minutes there was a click and the collar loosened up and I took it off. I made sure that I was using more of my Brine powers than anything else. "Dear Notch you're scary." I put the collar on loosely to where it didn't look suspicious to anyone else.

"Thanks Kayla now do you think that you can do the same to the other who have a collar," I asked. She nodded and did the same to the others. "Good now we wait for the guards to pass by and I'll take care of them. In the mean time we rest until the time comes." I laid down on the floor and closed my eyes as I heard footsteps coming down the hall.

"That kid is a demon not a hybrid, we should kill her," a voice stated. "The wants her for testing though to see if he can manipulate her DNA. It might kill her but, that doesn't matter." I took off my collar and hid it before using my Brine powers to morph into the shadows. The guards passed the cell and I went into one of their shadows.

"Of you think that I'm a demon then you should meet my father," I stated morphing out of the shadows and killing them with their own stone swords. I grabbed their keys and unlocked the cell. "Let's go before we get caught." We left the place and moved into part of the castle. I started to use all three parts of me and cast a silencing spell so that nobody but the seven of us can hear each other. We ran into a wall with a window that lead to outside. "I'm blowing it up, once I do we have to make a run for it. I want you six to escape at least. Keep going straight, I'll hold them off." I blew up the wall and we made a break for the forest.

There was an alarm so I stopped while the others ran. I created a wall of fire around them that would follow the until they got to the forest safely. "Don't let them escape," guards yelled as they tried to go after the others. I summoned a wave of Endermen, Skeletons, Spiders, and Creepers to help me fight. I turned around and started fighting them. they made it to the forest and I kept fighting for at least two hours before my magic was depleted enough for the mobs to despawn and my hybrid parts to vanish. I remember being stabbed in the side and a wave of pain following before passing out.

Kyle's POV

We ran for what felt like hours before we stopped. "What now," Jackal asked.

"I don't know," I stated as I turned around to ask Spark. I looked and she wasn't there. "Where's Spark, wasn't she right behind us? No she stayed back to make sure that we made it out alive didn't she?" Jackal set his hand on my shoulder as I felt tears roll down my cheeks. "We will live for her sake. We will remember the name. Spark." (See what I did there?)
