The day had come. Today was the day that Jaxon finally this man who has dated his mom, even though Jaxon didn't consider her as his mom anymore, Thomas Red. Jaxon wasn't hopeful for this day, but he couldn't run away from it. He was hoping that Thomas was nice, humble, and cared about him because of tough times with June.

He got to school that morning and noticed something different. Something different with Jaiden. Kate, a girl who Jaxon never really talked to and according to his mind Kate was irrelevant, was with her. But not like friends. Like girlfriends. How he knows this because he saw Kate kiss Jaiden on the lips. He was shocked. All he thought about was how if his mom was there with him during the situation, she would definitely yell at them, possibly even kill them too because of how she dealt with his father. Once he thought this, he noticed something. Why didn't Jaxon tell the police about the murder of his dad? And why didn't he tell the police about his mother being the key suspect in this case? Then Jaxon though of a plan:
When he meets with Thomas after school, he could tell him that she murdered the man she dated before him, so that Thomas would react badly, run away, and maybe even tell the police. The police would probably believe a man more than a "crazy" teen.

Today was a special day because the school board had a special concert for the people who got early to school, so Jaxon and everyone else in the cafeteria had to move to the gym.
As Jaxon got to the gym, he noticed someone. June. She was walking towards him. Jaxon became very confused because he had thought that she would never speak to him again after the incident at her house.
"What do you want?" Jaxon said angrily because of how she was playing with his emotions.
"I want to get back together." June said with fear in her voice.
