CHAPTER NINE: Him & His Stupid Geeky Glasses
Two Days later
"I'm bored."
"Aren't we all?"
"What're you doing at the moment?"
"Currently texting Wendy. We're meeting up for that date later."
"Coolio! What're you gonna wear? A tux?"
"..."
"Wha-What? What's so funny?"
"..."
"I-I don't...I don't understand.."
"Have you ever been on a date before, princess?"
"Um. No?"
"..."
"That's not funny!"
"You're lying, right?"
"No! I've never been a stupid date before! Is that a problem?!"
"It's just...You look like the type of girl to get asked out a lot."
"Aw, is Cade calling me cute?"
"I never said cute."
"But you were thinking it."
"You win."
"Hehe, I know I'm cute. And I never said I've never gotten asked out on a date. I've just never said yes."
"Why not?"
"Simple. I don't like them or know them."
"Getting to know them is what a date is, princess."
"And...I sort of have a, um, a crush of some sort."
"Who?"
"It doesn't matter. You don't know him and it's not really anything."
"Tell me, princess."
"Fine. It's a very cute guy named Ethan."
"Ethan aye? Tell me more."
"Don't you have a date?"
"It's in a hour, I have time."
"Aren't you gonna get ready."
"It's not like I'm taking her out to a fancy resturant. I'm just gonna go walk around with her and chill."
"Oh. Okay."
"I'm waiting."
"Right, sorry."
"So...?"
"Well, I met him last year, he was the new guy. Everyone adored him, he was very charming and very intelligent. All the girls swoon over him, he's literally a god. But anyways, we had only one class together last year and everyday, for a year, he would walk in the class, and wink at me. It was probably the girl behind me though..But, it happened everyday. And it felt like he was looking right at me. All his friends would ask why he winks at a girl every morning but he doesn't tell them. He just does it. Eventually, a lot of his girl swooners got really jealous and tried finding who the mystery girl is. I guess you could say their mission failed badly. Then senior year kicks around and we now have several classes together. In the beginning he started winking at me. But then one day he just stopped and never did it again. I don't know why, he just did."
