I walked aimlessly next to the water with no purpose at all.
"Why are you alone"
I jumped at the voice. A boy with brown hair and blue eyes stepped out of the shadows. He gave me a crooked grin and I analyzed him. He had tanned skin and was only slightly taller than myself, he carried himself with arrogance, but when I saw his ears my hand flew to my mouth.
He is like me!
Liam
I watched the girl with amusement, when I was assigned with the task of finding Amara's daughter I expected she would know I was coming.
But she didn't.
Which made it all the more fun for me.
She had Amara's wavy red hair and Ryian's green eyes. But in those eyes was pain and fear. She had bruised pale skin with scattered cuts, her hair was tangled and cut crookedly.
I walked closer to her, just two steps, and took in the beauty behind the scars. She studied me and I returned the favor, looking deep into her eyes.
"How would you like to escape?"

"How would you like to escape?"
How did he know I wanted to? I nodded and he grabbed my hand. I tensed waiting for impact but none came. He cocked his head at me and I looked away.
Suddenly, water surrounded me and in the midst I heard his words 'I'm Liam" I tried to keep my balance "Lea" I told him, and the water faded leaving me in a world in which I could be free.
I grinned and turned to thank Liam for his help, but the happiness faded when I saw sand and water.
He was gone.
