A Lover's Lullaby

A Lover's Lullaby---

Sing to me sweetly,

As the gentle crickets cry.

The chirps are soothing,

something like a symphony.

There's nothing like the melody,

Of a lover's lullaby.

Hum to me softly,

in the darkness of the night.

The only sureness is the milky moonlight.

The song of the stars whispers goodnight.

Sing to me sweetly, my lover's lullaby.

Through the night, your soothing voice I will miss.

But honey, please, never forget the goodnight kiss.

The nightingale's harmony speaks of a dreamer's dreams.

Only left for the forgot, and never to be redeemed.

My mind waltzes to the chorus,

Of my lover's lullaby.

Dream the dreams of a wishful serenity.

No need to worry anymore sweetie,

Peace of mind is approaching.

Your mistakes are forgiven honey,

Here is a second chance.

That's okay darling,

We all make mistakes.

Don't anticipate baby,

It only leads to regret.

Rest cleanses the soul,

From inside to out.

You're a new person today.

You can always be forgiven.

But that's up to you,

Forgiveness is your decision.

It has been sung to me sweetly,

As the gentle crickets cried.

The chirps were soothing,

Something like a symphony.

There's nothing like that same old ambient melody,

Of my lover's lullaby.
