Perrie's POV

I arrived back at mine and Zayn's building that our flat is in and quickly hurried upstairs to our flat. When I walked in, I saw Zayn sitting on the couch watching TV.

"Hi babe, how was performance?" Zayn asked, as I took my coat off.

"It was great. I'm glad we got to do that for those kids." I said, as I sat down next to him.

"Good. I'm glad." Zayn said, as he kissed the top of my head.

"But there was this one girl who was there and her story just touched my heart. Her name is Alexa and she was abandoned by her parents. The nurses said her and I bonded well and wondered if I would be able to visit her." I told Zayn.

"That's good babe. You're going to make that little girl really happy." Zayn said.

Through the night I kept thinking about Alexa. I honestly did not know why she kept popping up into my mind. Something really was different about her but I couldn't tell what. And I needed to find out why and fast.

The next morning, I woke up to the sound of Zayn making noise in the kitchen. I got out of bed and walked out into the kitchen to find Zayn making breakfast.

"Morning babe." Zayn said as he lightly kissed me on the lips. "I made some breakfast for us and after that I have to go meet up with the lads." He added, as he placed a plate of eggs in front of me.

"Thanks, hun. What are you and the boys doing today?" I asked.

"Meetings and stuff. Maybe we'll hangout somewhere after." He said, as I took a bite of my eggs. "Are you planning on doing anything today?" Zayn asked.

"I might go and visit that girl in the hospital again. Maybe I'll bring her a toy or something." I said. "Ok. Well call and tell me how it goes when you get out of there." Zayn said, as he placed a kiss on the top of my head.

After Zayn left and I got ready, I headed to the toy store and picked out a few toys for Alexa. Soon after that I headed to the children's hospital.

I approached the lady at the front desk and smiled. "Hi. My name is Perrie Edwards and.." I began to say but was cut off by the woman behind the desk.

"Oh yes, Miss Edwards. Our head nurse told me that you were coming. Go right ahead." She said, with a smile.

I headed to the lift and went to the familiar floor I was at the day before. Once on the floor Alexa was on, I was greeted by Natalie.

"Hi Perrie. So glad you could make it. Alexa was talking about you all last night." She said.

"No problem at all. I love spending time with her. I brought her some toys if that's alright." I said, as I held up the bag of toys to show her.

"That's great! She'll love them. I'll show you to her room." Natalie said, as she lead me down a long hallway. "So we figured out why Alexa is so attached to you." She paused. "You remind her of her mother." Natalie said.

"How did you find that out?" I asked, as we continued down the hall.

"We asked her yesterday after you left, if she had fun with you and she responded with, 'Yes, she looks like my mummy.' And that's when we knew that you reminded her of her mother." Natalie said, stopping in front of a door. "This is her room. Have fun." She said as she opened the door. I smiled and walked into the room.

I smiled when I saw Alexa playing with the doll I gave her yesterday, in the corner of the room. "Hi Alexa." I said, as I walked closer to her.

"Perrie!" She said, as she put her doll down and ran the short distance to me. She wrapped her small arms around my legs, giving me a hug.

"I'm here to play with you again and I've brought you more toys." I said. I opened the bag I brought with the toys in it and took the toys out.

Her eyes were opened wide as she looked at the toys, amazed. "Wow! Thank you!" She said. Her voice was so soft. She was probably the most adorable girl I've ever met.

I had stayed with Alexa all day and after dinner she began to get tired. The nurse got her changed and I got to put her to bed. Alexa rested her head on the pillow and I covered her up with the blanket.

I knelt beside her bed and watched her drift off to sleep. "Goodnight Alexa. I'll be back tomorrow, I promise." I said, as I got up and turned toward the door, where I saw Natalie watching me from.

We walked into the hallway and she closed the door. "Thank you again, Perrie. You're really making that little girl happy." She said.

"No problem at all. Being with her makes me feel like a completely different person. She helps me to forget about my crazy life." I said. Natalie smiled and walked away.

I took the lift back down to the parking lot and went to my car. Before I left, I took my phone and called Zayn. The whole ride home, again, I thought about her. I felt so bad for her and I need to something more than just visiting her. I feel like its not enough.
