His Broken Luna

Chapter 1

I run away from the place where I've been held captive for 12 years. My legs wobble beneath me but nonetheless I push forward and keep running, about five minutes later I feel my muscles ache and fall to the floor too weak to continue running. My vision starts blurring and the last thing I see before giving in to the darkness is a man standing over me and feeling tingles when he touches my arm.

I start getting my consciousness back and stir a bit before fluttering my eyes open but groan when the light hits my face. I try opening them again and manage to successfully do so, I sit up and look at my surroundings to see I'm in what appears to be a hospital room but I freeze when I spot the guy who is watching me intently. Has he been here the whole time watching me?!

"Mate." I hear him say low.

  Huh? I dismiss the thought and start panicking when I see him moving closer to me with pitch black eyes. The heart monitor starts beeping next to me and seeing how scared I look he stops in his tracks and backs up a few steps.

"Hey, it's okay I won't hurt you. Can you tell me your name?"

It takes me a few moments to get my breathing under control and I look at him not sure if I should tell him my name or not. For some reason I feel like I should trust him and without warning I blurt my name out to him.

"My name is Kennedy."

I say in a whisper but I know he heard me because of him being a wolf. He looks up at me with a smile and I give one back in return.

"How long have I been out for?" I ask and he looks at me with a sad smile.

"You've been asleep for a week."

I gasp and he comes to sit next to me on the bed taking slow and careful steps as to make sure I'm not going to freak out. I move over and pat the spot next to me in reassurance so he can sit down. He sits next to me and looks at me.

"Kennedy I need you to tell me why were you in such a bad state when I found you and what happened?"

The memories from being trapped in that hell hole start coming back and I start breathing heavily, black dots clouding my vision. The guy who's name I still don't know touches my arm sending tingles through it and strangely it seems to soothe me a bit but enough to calm me down. A few moments later a man in a white coat comes through the door and comes towards me.

"How are you feeling?"

"I think I'm fine."

I say not really being sure of how I feel at the moment. He checks me over and the whole time I feel the guys eyes on me making me feel a bit uncomfortable. When he seems satisfied with my state he goes to the door.

"Alpha Grayson, can I speak to you please."

"Sure doctor Harold."

The guy gets off the bed and make his way over to the doctor shutting the door. I try to hear what they're saying but can't hear anything. Damn these sound proof walls. The fact of him being an alpha starts dawning on me and fear starts consuming me at the thought of how bad the punishments are going to be. I flinch at the thought and my eyes dart to the door and I fear for what's about to come when I see him coming through the door fuming with his pitch black eyes. He starts making his way towards me and I back up on the bed cowering away in the corner with my knees up to my chest. He yanks my wrist with force and growls.

"What did they do to you in the place you were before?"

I don't answer him which causes a growl to erupt from his mouth and he lets me go. I look at my wrist to see a red mark on it. I bring my knees up to my chest again and look at him with tears streaming down my cheeks. I see his eyes switching from their gorgeous emerald color to black. His eyes return back to their emerald color and they settle on my wrists. He tries to get close to me but I cower away from his touch whimpering. He looks at me with sadness and mutters a low 'sorry' before going out the door with a slam and I slump back on the bed still terrified of what just happened. I lay down and darkness consumes me, the last thought being of Alpha Grayson.
