Ziyanda Zwane is hosting a cover contest for her book: these are my entries into the contest.
The above picture is of her logo on her book.
As the rules state, I get two entries.
You all should just go read her book, it looks good, I have personally read it myself, but it's next on my list.

Entry 1: she didn't prefer people in the story. In her book trailer (which you can find in a chapter of her story) the main girl had brown/red hair. I found a picture that looks like the girl in her trailer. I also blurred it out a bit, as not to see her distinct features. I blurted the rest of the the pictures, because when your aiming at something, your eyes are focused on the target or the Aiming thing.
The black outer rim makes your cover have a little extra detail to attract the reader's attention, like I often do with dots or thin lines on my own covers.
White words to grab the readers eye because it's next to the bright red thing. There is nothing else white on this cover, and with the black rim it pops out the words.

Entry 2: there are no people in this. Instead I focused on for of the aiming in on one thing aspect of shooting.
You have the aiming target in the center, red to attract the eye, since red and yellow are the two colors that pop the most to a human eye. Around that is a black box, which is like focusing on one layer at a time. The gun, because obviously this is about shooting and I am pretty sure it's with a gun and not something like a bow and arrow.
The coloring of the title and author: it's different, not something a lot of users see. Also it's red, you have three red things now. This color is a bit darker so there are some darker shades of red.
The background is actually a night vision picture, so idk if they use night vision since I have read anything yet. But you might if your shooting someone at night. So yeah.
