That One Time with The Football: Aron

"This is stupid." Soren grumbled as I dragged him outside.

We both wore matching Falcon's jerseys that were five sizes too big. Soren's black football marks were smeared across one of his cheeks.

"Soren it is the Super Bowl half-time," I told him. "Stella and Alisha won't play, Ames and Larkin are actually at the Super Bowl, Simeon is reading and Hudson is... well Hudson."

"Still don't see why I have to play with you." Soren crossed his arms.

"Because I gave you my seven layer dip when I didn't want to." I explained. "Football is easy to play, you can figure it out."

"I don't see why you can't make Simeon play with you." Soren rolled his eyes.

"You try getting him to get his head out of a book!" I laughed. "Just throw me the ball."

"Like this?" Soren threw the ball, it landed at his own feet.

"Come on, harder then that." I tried edge him on. "Put your back into it. You were the greatest villain on Malison, just throw it!"

"I never threw crap around!" Soren complained. "My weapons were a bow and a whip blade, not a stone."

"Just try." I held my hand out. "Aim for my hands."

"Like an arrow?"

"Sure." I shrugged. "Shoot."

Soren held the football up to his eye, studying it as one might study before an exam. He licked his finger and felt the wind, even though there wasn't enough to make a difference.

"Dude." I looked at him.

"I do this whenever I shoot." Soren glared at me. "Now I got to start over."

I groaned. "Just throw it!"

"Fine!" Soren chucked the ball.

The ball went right over my head and bounced over the fence into the back alley.

"Seriously." I looked at him.

"Yay sports!" Soren cheered. "Do the thing win the points!"

"You had one job." I mumbled as I walked over to the fence. "Just like the kicker, one job and you failed."

"Wait the kicker doesn't play the game?" Soren looked confused.

"No!" I pulled myself over the fence. "All he does is kick and they give him money if he makes it."

"I wish I could do that." Soren pondered.

"You wouldn't ever get payed."

I jumped down into the alley. My eyes looking for the football. I couldn't find it.

"Soren will you come help me find my football that you lost?" I called. "Hurry!"

I heard a bang on the wooden fence behind me.

"What are you doing?" I looked over the top of the fence to see my friend sitting in his but rubbing his head.

"I was trying to climb the fence." Soren glared at me. "It's like two feet taller then me.

"No, It's six inches." I looked down. "Come on!"

Soren moved a box to help him get over as I looked around for my football.
